Joyous occasion

Thank God It's Friday. My hometown here very special lo cox it's weekend here on Friday and Saturday. I got pretty confused when staying in KL. But the best part is sometimes I got longer holidays like 3 days off to go home once in a while. Miss that skipping-lecture moment.

Wedding ties two soul to be as one. It's is a very blissful ceremony for not only those two who tie the knots but it also bring two families together. In every culture, there's their own custom of weddings ceremony.

Today, Mum's colleague Diana (Kak Diana) finally ties her knot. In Malay custom, it more to 'upacara bersanding' today where both bride and groom got their blessing from families. We (Mum, me, Kevin, Eric and Mum's other two colleagues) went to the bride's house at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.

Since it's about lunch time, the food served was 'nasi minyak' with chicken curry or either beef curry, 'bubur kacang', fruits and drinks in buffet style. Don't be surprised if I said that the meal served was cooked by families, friends and also neighbors of the bride. I love their 'gotong-royong' spirit which is getting lesser and lesser. People with more budget would for sure have catering and all. But this is the 'kampung' spirit is what we, the younger generation need.

To all countrians, here's a very kampong style of wedding to open your eyes
.
Tell no lies and it's pwetty hot la to sit under the fan-less canopy in a hot, sunny day. How can you attend a wedding without a picture from the bride, right? So here's a picture with the Queen of the day.

Me with all the wedding gifts aka 'hantaran'

My choice of clothing seems to fit the wedding theme very well.

It's sad that we didn't managed to take a peek of the groom as the King of the Day went for his Friday prayers. Nevermind. There's always another chance. She met her soul mate through Facebook and after months of getting to know each other, they decided to tie the knot. I guess Facebook has it's benefits too. Mum always like say, "Hah, you laugh loud loud la like Kak Diana. No one wants to marry you later then you know." or like, "Who doesn't want to get marry in life. Everyone wants to get marry and have someone to love you. Be a proper lady la. Talk soft a bit. Don't shout-shout."

I'm pwetty shocked when I saw Kak's Diana wedding invitation card. Hahaha. It just proves Mum's wrong. Love is boundless. Let people love you with who you are!!

Congratulations to Kak Diana and her hubby. May you and your hubby stay sweet forever till grandchildren. Semoga bahagia di samping suami hingga ke cucu cicit!! =D

It's been raining almost everyday here so I guess this is the start of the Monsoon season. Have naughty boy aka Horny Boy aka Sweet boy aka Xiao Ai wearing a torn pants of mine to keep him warm. Hugs hugs!!
