PETA

Bonjour!! My second appearance of the month. I deserve an applause for this right? For spending time here when I'm suppose to revise for my Chem test this Wed. Well, I feel so disturbed by the videos that I watched last night. I can't get it out of my mind! Super frustrating, that is. It was a video from a local celebrity of her pet. I would not consider it as an ordinary pet (by means dogs, cats, fish, rabbits etc.) Is monkey a normal, ordinary pet in your means of dictionary? It's definitely not for me. I don't know what species it is, nor I bother to find out. Let me just show you guys what I meant by disturbing.

These are disturbing!

I'm sorry if you guys feel disturbed by it too. The most haunting picture would be the one where she squeezed the monkey's face. Clearly, I know she's not hurting the monkey but it feels like she torturing a baby. Monkeys or to specific chimpanzees have 99% identical DNA to humans. Well since apes, orang utans, gorillas and maybe monkeys are all in the family of Hominoidea, I guess in some way, there are still have some similar DNA in their genes or at least some characteristics.

My conscience is telling me that this is not right in every way. I've noticed that it's becoming like a couple thing these days to adopt a pet together with your couple. It's like trying to experience how marriage days are like with your couples. What can be a better 'child' than monkey? If you want a child, then go make one! Don't experience it with monkeys! And the video of her punishing the monkey for disobeying her by letting it feels scared, I just can't!!! How would you feel if it's the other way round. The monkey have a human child as pet. Toying around and laughing at it. Oh Mai God!! I can't continue this. Think for yourself. Not every animals are for pets. Monkeys are DEFINITELY not one!

Frankly speaking, it did cross my mind sometime of having a pet monkey, especially when pet shops are selling super tamed monkeys for RM 500. And the babies are just so cute and cuddly. But after the consideration of how similar our species is to them, I don't think it's a good idea. From my opinion, a monkey is very different from a dog. I just can't explain how different they are from my opinions in words. And also, I'm scared of monkeys and their families for life after the Planet of the Apes! I'm okay with people having chinchilla, civets or sugar gliders for pets but just not monkeys!

Civets or locally known as musang, are becoming a common pets here in Malaysia
And no, it never occur in my mind to have one due to their ferocious behavior.

I assume this is how the people of PETA see us when we took selfies with our chicken rice, steak, hamburgers and the list goes on. This bring us to another topic that I wanna pin out for a long time already but just don't have the time. I followed PETA on FB. I consider myself as a half supporter of their works because I don't totally 100% agree with them. On puppy mills, skinning wolves and circus, YES, I agree. But on killing chickens for food, not so. Those horrifying images of pigs in their dirty pens. Let me tell you. A friend of mine went to a pig farm early this year, here in Malaysia. It shocked me to see the pictures she posted on Instagram. Not what you guess it is. I'm shocked to see how huge a mother pig is! On the contrary of what PETA portrayed in their videos, the pigs' pens are very clean and tidy. No muds or bloods sputter around.

Since PETA encourages people to go vegan (which I'm totally hopeless in) I hope and really like to believe that everyone in PETA is really vegan. Not for the sake of religion but for what they believes in. But then before they go vegan, there must be sometime in their life that they've tasted meat, right? *wink wink Instead of campaigning for people to go vegan, why not campaigning for all the zoos, sea world, animals farms to shut down? Coz basically they're all 'torturing' animal by keeping them in an enclosure?

Think about it!

CONNECTED, my ass !!

Just finished my Calculus Midterm. Don't know whether to cry or to laugh. But one thing for sure, I made a silly silly mistake that deserve a knock on my head. Mr Sim is so gonna take the opportunity to knock on my head real hard. Recently, I've spent so much time on the business that I've neglected myself. All the frustrations that pent up for all this while. I realized that online business has ONE major advantage, that is I get to choose what to sell. I'm not restricted to only clothes, shoes and bags. If today, I decided to sell plush toys, I can just do that in a click of a button. So basically what I sell, depends on my mood that day. And it happens that today, I don't feel like selling rather I'm gonna update my blog.

One more problem that I can foresee to arise in near future is that the government implementation that requires online shops to register their businesses. This is a MAJOR problem. Lets put it this way, I opened the business for fun and to earn some pocket money and if at a point I feel bored, I can simply shut it down (obviously after shipping all the parcels. I'm not that responsible you know!) If I were required to register my business, does that means that I need to provide a full account of my in and outs? I see most online sellers or rather they called it as 'dropshipper' (person who helps to collect orders from the customers but do not hold stocks) are mostly students who wants to earns extra income. LIKE ME!! How do you expect students to pay the registration fees etc? With this implementation also, in future, there will be less online sellers. This would bring negative impacts to the country? Have you ever wonder, with less restrictions, people are more willing to risk their time to venture out in business? This would encourage young generations to become an entrepreneur which would in the future help to boast the economy of the country? It's a sad thing that we (me and the ministers of the country) do not think alike.

Last few weeks, I did my presentation on ALS. Yesterday, I finished my Business presentation. I'm so blessed to have such great group members that are really committed. They understand my expectations on certain things. Well, not to put pressure, but I really need to score this sem. If it is an individual work, like the hell would I care about others. So the last week for presentation, I made a point to pen up their presentation topic. This one is from Group 17 on "Should mobile phone be given to children". The speaker was asking the audience (us) at what age they obtained their first mobile phone. Surprisingly, mostly said high school. I always remember being the almost last in my group of friends to obtain a mobile phone. At that time, several of my friends had already changed theirs several times! Never in my mind thought that I'm fortunate enough to obtain one at the age of 11. Thou it was passed down from daddy, my first handphone was with color and GPRS which is quite luxurious at that time.

It's obvious that mobile phones help us to stay 'connected'. Yeah! Connected to boyfriends. Phone connect me with my exs'. Since we're from different classes, we don't meet that often. And no. There is no staying in after school just to date. Perhaps it's because we're from Malay school, where we're still in a conservative mind or rather, we just don't think about it. We're both far to busy to stay back in school, or at least I am. After school, rushing home for lunch, getting refreshed before attending daily tuition classes. That is how competitive Chinese parents are. Mobile phone is our only source of communication. The highest monthly phone bill recorded was 100 over since we're from different operators (mine's Maxis, his was Celcom). I remember Dad summoned me to ask about the bill and I ended up paying for 2 months' bill. Later then, he changed number so it's more convenient and cheaper. The relationship then ended when we went separate ways. Nothing to regret because we're far too different in lives. While I worked hard to get what I want, he was served with sliver platter. While I was so busy collecting perfect score on my report card, he was busy playing games. Not that I looked down on him but hmmm... Maybe 12 was too young but it's an experience, I would say. A nice one.

In high school, I once again dated (does puppy love consider a date? We've never went for a date thou. Boring relationship hor?) For this one, communication was easier since we're from the same class. But after a period of time, it all went downhill when my studies was affected. Dad confiscated my phone. Each day, after school, I would sneaked into my parents room just to send a simple sms to him. I don't remember how but then we somehow went into an agreement for him to tell me a bedtime story each night. Sweet hor? True to his words, he did send one each night. Back in the days, we don't have Whatapps, Line or WeChat. We simply have two options, SMS with limited number of words and MMS, for sending picture. His stories usually took 3-4 SMS, full-paged. Being so young when relationship is the least of concern, it ended after a little less than a year due to misunderstanding which was noticed later after he was in another relationship. By then, I don't bother to clear that misunderstanding since the person can be considered as my best friend. Let bygones be bygones!!

In short, mobile phones did have their disadvantages. Aside from radiation and such (speaker's points), my studies affected the most because mobile phones helped me to stay CONNECTED!

I still have my Chemistry test 2 next Thursday. Shall recharge myself and continue my revision tonight or maybe tomorrow. I hate Ms Alice for giving True/False statement which in my opinion is too irrelevant for Chemistry.

Thanks for dropping by!
Bye! *muaks

Online Business

The most stressful week of the month finally has ended. Sat for my online business midterm this morning. After burning the midnight oil the whole night, can say proud also la to get 30 out of 40. But then, when I heard my friend who read only the lecture notes obtained 29, I fucking disappointed lo (-___-)'' coz I read the whole book of 150 pages and the lecture notes are only a fraction of that. You just have that one friend who's forever clever even without revising. Not complaining thou.

I guess after all the hard work and sweat I put in this week, I can spend a little time on my blog, right? Hmm.. Today, we shall talk about online business. The topic business itself already make me excited *cheeky smile Business these days are so easy and convenient for both sellers and buyers. You set up a Facebook page or an Instagram account and start selling your goods. It seems like you sit down, doing nothing yet money keep flowing in. That was what I thought before. On how easy online sellers promote their business, obtain customers and profits keep coming in. After getting myself involved, I never thought things is not as easy as it seems. From what you perceive, it seems like the more likes you get, the more likely your business is to prosper. Even when I told mum, I opened an online business, the first reaction I got from Mousy was, "Wah. So nice. Sure earn a lot." Well that is what others thought of online business. Let's say no lies and get down to the truth part.

The truth part is that:
1. You're competing with HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of EXISTING online sellers out there. Advantages are obviously on their part because they've been in the business long enough to have regular customers. Know the fact that you lose this round.

2. We're selling PRE-OREDRS items which means your customers are expected to wait for 10-14 working days for the products to reach their hand. Some customers may not want to wait. There's is also a probability for delay at the warehouse in China. So, get ready with tonnes of excuses to explain to your customers without scaring them away.

3. You're new and most importantly you're selling the EXACT same products as others out there. You don't have the X-Factors that will attract potential customers. So you are expected to sell cheaper than others with much lower profitability.

4. Uploading and posting all the photos of the products you're selling is TIME CONSUMING. That includes inserting details of the products like size, color, material etc. You are expected to risk your precious time to post the pictures without a guarantee that they will attract customers.

5. There are so many of products out there and you can't possibility have everything. So here's comes DECISION on what to sell. Most likely, your decisions will reflect your sense of fashion. Your likes and dislikes. But what if your likes do not meet the demand of your customers.

6. Knowing the LATEST TREND or what's hot is important to grab instagramers attentions as first impression is all that matters. You need to keep yourself updated with the latest trend in the market for teenagers if that's your target market.

7. PRICING. How much should you set the price? How much do you actually want to earn? Aside from all those questions, keep in mind that you still need to compete with others but at the same time, you want to earn some for the time you invested.

8. The very problem with online shop is on the POSTAGE/ SHIPPING. Some shipping fees tend to be very expensive and it's not worth selling. While some other site charged extra fees such as processing fee and service fees. All these must be take into consideration.

9. Your customers can be as young as 12 y/o to as old as 50 y/o. The TARGET MARKET is important. If you focus on young girls, do they have the money to buy? And again, be a little considerate. Can they afford buying your products? It would be obvious that the market for the elders are large. None are willing to take the risk to venture there as most elders that age would not even have an Instagram account at the first place.

10. ATTRACTING CUSTOMERS. You need to have plans to attract your customers. As I observed, most online sellers have connections or what they called, 'reviews' where they helped promote other online sellers. In short, it would hard to penetrate into their so-called web connections. Seasonal promotions may help attract customers to your instagram.

11. The most important factor to be think of is the SUPPLY. You need to constantly find suppliers that are willing to provide goods to you at a very minimal cost so you can sell it to the customers at a much cheaper price. Thou earing profit is important, well, let's not outskirt the well being of the customers too.

Well, online shop may seems as easy as ABC as you do not need a capital to open one. Besides, it is almost risk free, aside from the time you invested. The financial issue, human resources, location of shop are not to consider which save you lots of headaches. But then again, for the patience, efforts and enthusiasm one puts into the business, I began to wonder is it worth?

Just my two cents.
Thank you for dropping by
Happy weekends!!

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

I feel like I got so many things to rumble about but I don't have time to pin it here. Such a disappointment.  Halfway done thru third semester. Feelings? Can't wait to unofficially graduate from my foundation studies. Haih... I felt like a failure to have to repeat another year of foundation. And as a punishment, I went into isolation. Just to remind me that I'm serious this time round and I can't mess it again. And also, I believe, isolation makes people stronger. If I can survive living alone, I can survive in this harsh world. So far, haven't gone crazy, which is a good thing I guess. I guess the only friend that I'm stuck with here is Sha. But still, I felt that I can never be as close to her as to Annie and Kitty, where I feel like home. Like I've known them forever. Then again, after everything ends, we're going separate ways. She's going to India and I'm on the other hand, still clueless. Perhaps this is the one reason why I can't open up to her because deep down, I know that we're going separate ways anyway.

This week shall be the busiest week of the semester. Just finished Gen Chem 2 test yesterday which compromise of 5 True/False questions. Frankly speaking, I don't revise till the very last minute. A bad habit of mine. I've set in my mindset that it is only 5 True/False questions. How hard can that be? Furthermore, it's only 5%. Of course when you went to exam unprepared, you have this feeling of doubts. Thinking that the statement is true, hell you even wrote down 'True' in the answer box already but the next second, you have thousands of questions popping up to prove that it is a False statement. So far, I think I got one wrong. It was a question tertiary/ secondary hydrogen. I got them mix up with IUPAC naming system of the longest chain when it was totally unrelated at the first place. Such a shame.

It's almost 12 noon here. Just finished with my Oral Presentation on the Impacts of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Here, I thought that I'm done with those days where I'm forced to practice my speech in front of the mirror like an idiot for Ms Wan's English class. It was so wrong of me. I've practiced like a zillions time in front of the mirror last night (exaggerate much when I was enjoying my time doing online shopping. Hahaha. But I did somehow practiced my speech. Maybe about 10 times) I was so confident with my speech but it all went downhill the moment I held the microphone. Such an embarrassment when Ms Sharmini made a remark that "They fighting about whose going to talk again". Well, last week, we (Sha & me) both refuse to stand up and talk about the topic critical thinking. Reasons to my refusal is that I've already find the information needed and since it's a group work, she should do the least of her part which is presenting it to the class. We argued for 10 minutes till Ms Sharmini got fed up and continued with others. Trollolol. *evil grins

So for the presentation, I was on the part of good impacts of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Presentation is all about confidence, pronunciation etc I don't think the point is important. One can simple googled the points and complied them together. The lecture won't know anyway. Is not like she asked for the references. That is what I did. Reading countless of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge's articles on the net and copy paste them. I wouldn't say it is plagrism because I don't copied 100%. I did edit the points to make it sounds smoothly and interconnected. So clever of me. It was a difficult one to find good impacts of the challenge. Articles out there seems to focus more on the criticisms and the bad side of it rather than the good side. The obvious good side is that it raises money for the ALS Association. Here's my speech.

"A very good morning. I look at the camera, hold a bucket of ice water over my head, tip it upside down, post the video on my social media and then nominate three others to do the same. Along the way, my nominees and I use the opportunity to donate to the ALS Association, a charity that fights amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a total neurodegenerative disease. Unless you’ve been living under an igloo, you know that the Ice Bucket Challenge has become not only the social media phenomenon but the new bench mark for how peer-to-peer fundraising can create massive impact. So today, we’re going to talk about the impacts of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I’m Karen and these are my group mates.
Well for one, we all know that the ALS Ice Bucket challenge is a charity stunt to raise money for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The original idea was that when the gauntlet was thrown down in the ice bucket challenge, you either dump ice water over your head or donate $100 to ALS Association if you failed to do so within 24 hours. Millions of people have shivered and screamed while dumping buckets of ice over their heads and the sensation felt at that split of second gives them the idea of how those with ALS feel each and every day.
Since the first ice bucket fell in the name of ALS, the challenge has gone viral, inspiring nearly $100 million in donations to the ALS Association. A big Internet sensation like this naturally brings criticism. But there are reasons to why the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is awesome. First and foremost, it raises money for the ALS Associations. Most people seem to be opting for both, donate and getting soaked. The bulk of money made from the ice bucket challenge will help offset the astronomical costs of living with the disease. The cost of an individual patient can be tens of thousands of dollars to a quarter millions dollars in care per year. Power wheel chairs, gracing, respiratory equipment. We’re not even talking about ventilators. We’re talking about non-invasive things, so people can sleep at night.
As you can see from the slide, 27% of the funds are allocated for research. Research is another part of the funding equation to find new treatments for ALS and to increase the number of scientists working on ALS. As is the case for most rare diseases, progress in ALS research has been severely hamstrung by funding shortages. The funds allocate for the research has been identified as critical to finding cure and effective treatments for ALS.
The efficiency of the campaign, for one, is awe-inspiring. It encourages people to donate to charity in general especially younger generations. The power of social media and technology plays a large part in young people’s fundraising efforts. In addition to the fundraising campaign’s convenience, its popularity among friends and high profile celebrities plays a large role in the strength of the millennia’s involvement. From Facebook’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg to talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, singer Justin Timberlake and to our very own local celebrity, Lisa Surihani and supermodel Amber Chia, they have all been ice-bucketed. These high profile celebrity figures helped seed the idea that it is ‘cool’ to donate to charity.
It proves that the Ice Bucket Challenge has been the perfect blend of accessible, fun activity, understandable, compelling cause and networked social proof. In other words, it’s something easy that people want to do. It encourages younger generations like us to become more engaged in charity while having fun. It is a win-win situation.  This is also a step to build a stronger culture of generosity."
It's a 4 minutes speech. My presentation would be better if I don't stutter to much in front of the class, trying to remember my next sentence. This will accounts 10% so I hope Ms Sharmini is linent enough with her marks. I'm quite happy because at least we have the slides compare to others that came empty-handed.
And recently, I've been so busy with my newly open online business. It's open for business on 7 October (just for record purposes) I guess I don't need to named it here as you guys know where I obtain my stocks and such. What's the point, right? For the name, I've choose something close to the heart. I thought of something like "Little Lady Boutique", "Red Devil" and "Pristine" for the classy name but then they all lose to this very one. The name can't be any better than this. It's just perfect. I'm happy to be in the business as I'm always passionate about business, selling, buying etc. I'm finding ways to obtain a more lower cost products so I can sell it at a cheaper price. Searching high and low for bag, accessories, bag and clothing suppliers. My vision of the business is to have all under one house and in further future, I would also like to venture into the guys fashion as well. Well it is obvious that there are lots of competition out there. As for the profits, I really don't take much. Perhaps RM 5 only for each products sold. I'm looking forward to the challenges that will comes in my way. This business is something I looked forward too every morning thou I haven't obtain any customers as for now. Huh!!
I enjoyed my every minute in the Introduction to Business class. Feels so refreshing. I may not be in the field but business is so versatile. Who knows what might happen in the future? But as for now, perhaps studying in UCSI isn't that bad after all. I can at least learn something about business. Something that KBU doesn't offered for my course. Last week, we're required to come out with an innovative product for the market. Looking at my group members, I sighed silently. They are so not passionate. I remember this talk during my high schools days with Dylan and Lynn. We're talking about how cool to have a glasses where we can save and views notes from the lens itself since all of us are wearing spec. And it will also have voice recognition so we can scroll the pages easily. This is all for the convenience to cheat in the exam. Hahaha. And of course the idea was already in the market today. The Google Glasses
When I was required to come up with something innovative, my mind went blank. What is still not in the market? We're moving so fast forward, constant keep producing products to make life and works easier. And with fast-rising country like China, what is there still not in the market? China keeps coming up with all kinds of weird products like this Easy Butter Former. I don't see the point of this innovations. How is spreading the butter manually be any difficult than squeezing the butter into the container? Imagine washing the containers with all the oily butter stain. Godness!!!
metex easy butter former grater
Well that is just an example. I have this idea on my mind and I shall pinned it here today so in future if I was asked to invent something again, I might just grab this idea. I don't know about you guys but I have problems with earphones. In my drawer, I have at least 5 earphones wired up at the end corner. The reason is because the other side of the earphone isn't functioning. Something with the internal wiring, I guess. It's so damn frustrating to have only one-sided earphone. They are still the drawers, surrounded with spider webs are because I feel like it's a waste to throw them when they still one side that is functioning. Why inventors haven't come out with an earphones that can be replaced? Like if one side spoilt, I can simply bought the replacement at maybe a fraction of the earphone price. Or is it in the market already? I don't know. I don't really have time to google to clarify that piece of statement. It's 2 and it's time for my noon nap. have to burn midnight oil again tonight with Algebra test on Thur and Business test on Sat. If I am to invent this product, I shall name it "Pluck & Plug Earphones". And also, the wire length of my very earphone can be adjustable. Just like Lego bricks. You can join the wires if you need longer cable. How cool is that?
It's time to go and I still have thousands of things to talk about. Perhaps after the test, I shall allocate some time to have another entry up before November. But then, I still have Intro to Business Assignment and Presentation which is to be due on 24 Oct and there's still no progress on the discussion. Wish me luck. And I think somehow, somewhere,  there must be someone out there that miss me. Can't the poor girl put her hopes high? So I shall be a little thicked-skin today. End my longest entry with a selfie of myself! *grins
Well, if you expecting a cute, kawaii selfie, I'm sorry that I disappoint you.
Thanks for reading... =D

Reviews on Cincaibuy.com

[EDITED]

Whether we notice or not, we often used the word 'cincai' in our daily lives. Mostly when we are too lazy to decide or simply because we don't even know what we want. Mum always asked, "Hey, what do you want to eat for lunch tomorrow?" Believe it or not, 90% of the times, our answer is "Cincai-lah mum". Cincai in Hokkien means simply/ casually. It somehow also sounds like gold vegetables (菜). Do you or do you not notice the panel on the right side of your FB? There are display of sponsored advertisements. My advertisements are mostly on fashion, education and online shopping like lazada, mysale etc.

Recently, I spend almost 4 hours on the net, doing window-shopping. Well, the term window-shopping might not fit in this case as there's no shops' windows. Let's create new term for that. Page-shopping seems fit the activity since you hop from one page to another, creating multiple tabs. Not enough? Solution: New window. I just can't resist the temptations and the itch to buy something since everything is so cheap and nice and hustle-free. I do not need to go to the shoe shop and embarrass myself with my humongous shoe size. No one would give me that surprised look or that pity face when my feet can't fit even in the biggest shoe size that is available in the shop.

As we enter adolescence stage, we start to put more effort on our appearance. We start to observe our surrounding, how people dressed, the way others speak with full confidence and how they engage in a conversation. Admit it or not, people are very judgmental. At first glance, they scan you from the top of your hair to the bottom of your feet while silently making comments on your appearance in their heads. When I was in the Intro to Business tutorial classes, I was separated from the rest of my friends and I start looking down (obviously I was sleepy) towards shoes! This one guy was wearing covered shoes which caught my attention because the rest of the male population in my group wore slippers. My first thought was, "Wow. So classy." Looking down at my feet and saw the thick, rubber slippers, I quickly withdrawn my stretched feet back, feeling ashamed. Silently, I vowed to have a pair of 'classy' shoes too.

So I went searching high and low for such shoes that comes with an affordable price. No doubt there's lots of online sellers out there, it was not a problem but the price thou was a bit too high for what I can afford. And I found Cincaibuy.com. Cincaibuy was almost like taobao but comes with English descriptions, which is easier for me. Cincaibuy.com has everything you need. From dresses to home decoration and to pets clothing. You name it, they have it all. They even have wedding dresses for future brides. I'm dazzled with the choices of clothing, accessories and shoes they have.

For first timer, of course I was afraid of being conned. So many 'what if" popped from my mind. All those question vanished into the air when I saw a pair of shoes selling for RM 17! I was like, "WHAT?!" Top of that, that is exactly the type of shoes I'm finding. But then, being so cheap means leftovers, no choice. So I took a size smaller than what I usually wear. Made my purchase after hours of debating. Well, the total was RM 27 with RM 10 as shipping fees. I got really excited but at the same time, I was telling myself not to put high hopes just in case I got cheated. The waiting period was torturous. Everyday after class, I would go to the page and checked for the product's status.

The shoes arrived today during noon. But the size was so small that it can only fit Mousy's feet. Since she loves them, I ended up giving her the shoes since I don't see the point of keeping them when I can't wear them. There goes my short-lived happiness. Overall I would say that their service is good. Product status are updated fast enough for me to keep track of the item. Price wise, for the quality of the shoes, the price is very reasonable and affordable.

In short, my whole experience with Cincaibuy was sweet. The process was so easy and fast. Shipping took only 4 days. Would definitely deal with them again some time in future. Aside from all that, there's no hidden cost or whatsoever. Ending this entry with a picture of my can't-wear shoes.

Thank you for reading.
Happy page-shopping!!

Doggie Meal

So where do I stop in the last entry? Hmmm... I'm now in my third semester. Supposedly, I am to say everything is going well but it's not. I'm expected to obtain pointer 4 in every subject to maintain my overall 3.5 pointer. It seems impossible but I'll try my best. Yesh! Gambateh!! Holidays are so over already. Back to college the first week and I ended up sick. Must be the curry fault. The kiam siap girl here actually brought back a Tupperware full of curry to be eaten for a week. But before finishing, she already suffered from sore throat, fever and runny nose. That's the price to pay for being greedy. I have so many things to whine but right now I can't recall anything.

For starters, I have to say I'm so sorry that I can't post any recipes that I've tried with Popo during my sem break coz I left the book where I note everything down back home. *grins I'll miss home very much this semester. Looking at the calendar, there is no way I am going home in the 4 months time. Right after Raya Haji, I have Calculus test and a day after Deepavali is Intro to Business midterm. Adding to the piles of more reasons to cry is that I have to spend my birthday here coz I cannot skip my lab day. Telling myself, it will all be worth it when my overall pointer is 3.5 and above and I'll get more choices as to where I am going for my Degree. I just recently knew that UCSI had lowered down their requirements for Degree in Pharmacy from 3.5 to 3 which means if I failed to get above 3.5 I have to continue my degree here or MSU. Not much choice for me thou. Oh, please. UCSI? Kill me already at that thought!

Back to the point. I've recalled what I wanted to say in this entry. During my 'holidays' which is really short, my dogs at home have been given the privilege to eat and dine lavishly. My furkids do not have that good fortune of eating meat nor fish. They are feed with kibbles and rice only. How sad. But.. There's a but. I think my dogs are so much better than the rest out there that fed on chicken bones every single day. Don't be surprised. There really is. Popo used to feed my dogs with chicken bones too. There is this one incident where Mum brought back a plastic bag full of chicken bones from a local chicken rice shop.

As far as I can recalled, Xiao Ai was about 7 to 8 months then. Incident happen when one of the bones which happens to be part of the drumstick fell on the floor. Before I managed to pick it up, Xiao Ai went and swallowed it down. Few days after, his appetite decrease and he had blood in his stool. Brought him to our vet and after diagnosed, we were told that the bone he swallowed might have injured his intestine to result in bleeding. After that day on, no more BONES!! I cannot 100% guaranteed that Popo and the maid did not feed my dogs with bones behind my back. But one thing for sure, at least not in front of me. Can't really blame the old lady. They've been raised since small that dogs eat bones and they feel wasted to have the bones dumped in the bins when the dogs can have them. You know what I mean...

Since the incident, I have that 'huh' reaction to people who feed bones to their dogs. Raising dogs have definitely taught me a lot of things. Yeah, we had dogs since I was born but back then I don't bother to know nor learn more about dogs. Xiao Ai is the first. He came to us as early as 6 weeks old. Some say it's too young to wean puppies from their mum at that age but his owner made that decision and partly it's because I also don't know anything yet back then. The experience of reading more books about puppies and their learning, watching Youtube videos on puppies training, I think I've done a really good job with Xiao Ai. Few months later, the two home wreckers arrived. If there is one that I regretted on is to purchase two puppies at a time. I thought I can have one trip down to KL and grab two puppies home but I cannot manage training both puppies at a time. I am to blame at that.

The horror of reading articles on how big Great Danes can grow and their stubborn behaviors do impact me somehow. Since small, we are particularly very strict at both of them. They cannot jump on kids, very seldom bring them to walk outside and the list goes on. Since the two are siblings, they can't be separated. I've tried bringing only one of them to walk and the other one at home would whine non-stop. It's a nightmare. Only after a year old, they stop whining when being separated. The Danes are not as socializing as Xiao Ai. Xiao Ai is with us 24/7 while the Danes are put in the backyard so we seldom have interaction with them.

Top of that, the Danes are just too strong for me. I've tried to bring both to walk but I ended up being pulled. I'm not trying to scare anyone with the idea of adopting Great Danes but I just wanna pen down my experience with this wonderful breed. A Great Dane can give birth to an average of 8 to 9 puppies at a time. This probably explains why Great Dane in Malaysian pet market is so cheap. At only RM 900 you can have a Great Dane puppies while other breeds like Husky or Boxer might cost you RM 2000. I'm not afraid to say that we they (maid and Popo) controlled my Danes diet terribly. They are not well feed at a period where they're growing. We do feed but probably only third quarter of what they supposed to have. They just heard the horror of how high is the Danes' sire and dam and probably wonder how high can my Danes grow. Their parents reached the shoulders of a 180 cm tall man when standing up.

It's is all in the past. I'm so happy to see how fat my Danes are now. So much better. In fact, this picture broke my heart when I saw it.

If you don't get a clearer view of the dog, here it is.

This poor Great Dane was rescued by MIAR last week after his owner abandoned him on the street. He was left with bones and one of his back leg was injured. This poor soul left us 2 days after being rescued due to organs failure. RIP boy for heaven is a more beautiful place.

Seeing this and relate it to my experience, I can see that the owner was trying to control the Dane's diet. But this is too much. While this picture bring sadness, I can't help but being happy that my Danes never been like that ever. Not to this extend! This is already a cruel act! The owner should be somehow be put in the prison for torturing! At least they are still well fed compare to this poor boy. Of many stories I've heard when I decided to have Great Danes, it is that they eat a lot to the extend of one pot of rice a day. I doesn't deter me but it affects the rest somehow.

Enough of the sad story of how cruel a human being can become. The dogs enjoyed lavish meal for 3 days straight. They had fish, chicken, carrot, sweet potatoes and broccoli. Thou it's a simple recipe, I wanna have it wrote down as part of my dairy coz for the first time in 2 years, Xiao Ai and the Danes had their very first of proper meal which in my dictionary is a meal with meat and vegetables.

Fish + Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients:
  • 10 fishes (I used ikan lolong at RM 5 per kilo)
  • 5 sweet potatoes
  • A pot of cooked rice
Method:
  1. The fish was steamed until cooked. Once cooked, leave it to cool.
  2. Deboned the fish.
  3. Steamed again the peeled sweet potatoes. Smashed the potatoes after cool.
  4.  Mix the fish and sweet potatoes with rice and divide equally to serve to the dogs.
Before mixing with rice

After mixing

This is Xiao Ai's bowl. He usually don't eat much. But surprisingly, he ate all of the meal.
And wanting more!!
Chicken + Broccoli + Carrot
Ingredients:
  • Half chicken
  • Broccoli
  • Carrot
  • A pot of cooked rice
Method:
  1. A pot is filled with water and bring to boil.
  2. The chicken was put in to cook. Once cooked, leave the chicken to cool.
  3. Using the chicken broth, cook a pot of rice.
  4. Steamed the broccoli and carrot.
  5. Deboned the chicken. The carrot was chopped into small dice.
  6. Mix the rice with the chicken, carrot and broccoli.
Third day meal. I don't diced broccoli these time as I'm busy that day.
Nevertheless, Xiao Ai ate like there's no tomorrow.

I don't add any flavoring into their meal. In my opinion, the vegetables are good enough. I noticed that Xiao Ai don't eat the big chunk of carrot the very first meal so I resort into dicing them. I used only half of the chicken to save as they have the other half the next day. Money wise, Giant sells their chicken at only RM 5.99 per kilo. It's cheap as to compare to other places and their chicken are fresh too.

Lucky, my 10 y/o Goldie
He's much skinner due to maggots wound that have been treated off his ears

My very own Tiger
In case you notice, yeah, he's in a different kennel than the others.
He's possessive behavior is too much for the rest to handle

On normal days, this stance is not allowed.
I never allow my dogs to such behavior coz it's dangerous
We usually give them a pat on the head with stern warnings

The happy-go-lucky boy with his meal.
Was too engrossed in his meal to lift his head for me

Ending this with a picture of Xiao Ai
being mauled by Tiger. Consequences of having two dominant males in the
same place at the same time. Obtained a number of lectures from Xiao Ai's fans.
>.<

The wound looked big but after cleaning, the wound was only about 1cm in diameter.
In case you're wondering, yeah that is how big Tiger's teeth is.

Gotta go!
Thanks for dropping by...

August Diary

Tralalala~ I'm so determined to have this entry up before we bid goodbye to August. August is a fantastic month. I'm totally done with my second semester, going into the last semester. *ecstatic I'm expecting a 3.5 pointer. *fingercrossed For me, August is a month of independence. I always heard stories of life before Independence Day from Popo who was born on 1947. Days where Japanese ruled the Malaya and when the communist took over. Those days are not to be forgotten. Perhaps we do learnt from our History textbook but hearing them from people that had been through those days are totally different. I'm a proud Malaysian!! MERDEKA! It's been almost a month since the last entry. Yup, I'm that lazy these days. That too explains the lack of short updates on my Instagram. If you haven't notice (which I'm so disappointed) I have an Instagram account where I updates short messages there. So go check it out!!

Am so into Mainland drama for the past one month. Finished watching Boss and Me and Legend of Lu Zhen. Zhao Li Ying just gain another fan from Malaysia. Love her so much!! *muaks muaks Her innocent character in Boss and Me and the handsome big boss just make me go ahhhh~ The drama is about big boss falling in love with his worker. Yeah, very cliché but I bet that's lots of girls' fantasies, to fall in love and be loved by a billionaire or at least a rich guy. No one can deny that money is everything. BUT, we're not materialistic (note that). Logically, there are reasons to why girls are more attracted to a rich guy than a poor guy. Besides the reasons to wear branded clothes, attending parties, have unlimited access to credit card and a big mansion, here's to why:

Zhao Li Ying as Shan Shan and Zhang Han as Feng Teng (big boss)

1. You don't need to work too hard for a living, which means you get to spend more time with your future kids (if you have one). More love and affection.
2. You get to spend more time with your family since your husband is already fucking rich. Means more holidays to oversea or locally with the whole family as in in-laws and your own. Your husband can afford so why not.
3. More happiness since you don't need to worry about your living. People often argue about money. So with lots of money, find other things to argue then.
4. A comfortable life for you and your future kids. At the end of the day, it all comes back to your kids. Parents always wants the best for their kids.

All the other casts are also that handsome and pretty!

Boss and Me or 杉杉来了 (Shan Shan Lai Le) revolves around an innocent girl, Shan Shan who shared the same rare blood type with as her big boss's sister (Feng Yue). It started when  she donated her blood to Feng Yue who had complications during her delivery. Decided to return her kindness, Feng Yue instructed their home chef to make lunch box for Shan Shan too and to be sent together with his brother's lunch box. Initially, Shan Shan has difficulty coping with rumors that surrounds her and the lunch box. She find solace at the roof top which coincidentally happens to be the big boss's (Feng Teng) office. If there is one thing about her that attracts the Feng Teng's attention, that would be her love for food.  The drama really melts us (or only me) all with Shan Shan's appetite and charm.

I've been spending the last 1 week doing nothing except for trying out several recipes and watching dramas. Life can never be better. Legend of Lu Zhen or also known as Female Prime Minister is a must on this year drama list!! I think the drama is an adaptation from Korean from the looks of the costumes on the female actress. I'm not into Korean dramas but thou it's adapted from Korean, all the cast speaks Mandarin. I with to be as strong and competitive as Lu Zhen too.

In this drama, Zhao Li Ying portray a different side of herself. Far away from the innocent character of Shan Shan and into a strong, dependent woman who aim to get revenge for his father. From a young lady who followed her father doing businesses, she entered the palace and become a prime minister. Through the journey, she met Gao Zhan (Chen Xiao). Their different social status drifted them apart aside from enemies that planned to separated them. The ending is a beautiful one thou I hope there will at least be a full episode of their happy days after Gao Zhan being crowned as the King. If there's one thing that I'm not satisfied with, it would be the because the bad guys are always around to separate them. Like every moment. Their happiness seems very short lived. Otherwise, it's PERFECTO!

The main characters

Despite married, there are still lots of challenges awaits them

So she-weettt...

The next on this year list of must watch is Cruel Romance. Huang Xiao Ming as the main lead along side Chen Xiao En is already making everyone anticipated.

I'll end here for this one. I will try to have another one up very soon. Time is so limited here. There's only 4 days left before I'm back to KL and there's lots of thing to do which include getting vaccination for all the dogs and grooms Xiao Ai.

Thank you so much for dropping by
^_^

p/s: I've obtained my semester result for the semester. 3.13 and fuck Computing Essential! Need to work 10 times harder for next semester.

Here, I attached link to both dramas and I understands those bananas who need English sub so fret not, they come with English subtitles. Welcome!

Inevitable

Officially done with my second semester. *firecrackers Yesterday was my last test for Chemistry 1 which carries a total of 20% of the whole 50% internal marks. Did my revision at the eleventh hour because the whole week was crazy. I had my Computing Essential test as a replacement for test 1 on Tuesday. Ms. Veronica was kind enough to set the test in a crossword puzzle form and we did it in pairs. Biology mid-term was on Thursday and so is Algebra test 2. It was a very busy week. Burn the midnight oil every single day. Glad it was all over. Finals is in two weeks time so before I go on the study mode, I figured I'll have this entry up first. Before anything, tomorrow's Raya and I'm gonna spent my holidays here in KL all alone. Last year, raya was amazing with lots of bazaar Ramadhan's food and also our night durian hunting. This year, I think I'll humor myself by writing an entry on how I spend the whole day of raya in my messy room. Hmmm, this also remind me that I've been ranting here for a year already. *applause It doesn't feel that long but looking back at the past entries make me feel so old.

2014 would probably be the tragic year so far in the aviation industry with at least 851 people confirm dead. Within just 7 days, three incidents occurred that shocked the world of aircraft with 3 countries involved, which are Malaysia, Taiwan and Algeria. After MH 17, on 23rd of July, TransAsia Airways plane, GE 222 that was carrying 54 passengers and 4 crew members crashed on landing on an island off the west coast of typhoon-hit, killing 48 people with 10 people injured. It was scheduled to depart Kaohsiung Siaogang Airport at 4 pm and to land in Penghu's Magong Airport half an hour later but due to bad weather, it took off at 5.43 pm. Typhoon Matmo hit into Taiwan on Wednesday bring heavy rains and strong winds which later passed the island and headed to China and was downgraded to a tropical storm.

The very next day, Air Algerie flight, AH 5017 en route from Burkina Faso to Algeria with 118 passengers and crews on board crashed in northern Mali with zero survivors. Those onboard include French, Burkinabe, Lebanese, Algerians, Spanish, Canadians, Germans, Luxembourgers, a Cameroonian, a Belgian, an Egyptian, a Ukrainian, a Swiss, a Nigerian and a Malian. (WTF! I never heard off some of the nationality listed. Where's Lo-xem-bourg is? Do burgers originate from there? Okay it was a stupid question. Ignore it) Control tower lost contact with the plane less than an hour after take off, following a request by the pilot to change course due to bad weather. It took off from Burkina Faso at 0217 BS and was due to land at 0610 BTS. Wreckage of the flight was then discovered between the town of Gossi and the Burkina Faso border. In case any of you, just like me never heard of Algeria or Burkina Faso ever and was wondering where is Burkina Faso or Algeria is, they are both at Africa.

A more clearer picture

I do admit that I'm totally clueless when it comes to Geography. But I do know where's Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Russia, Australia and Japan from the World Map. Some credit, please? After all, I did learnt Geography for 3 years thou we, Malaysian students don't learnt every part of the world. Such a shame on that. If I was given a choice, I would have taken Geography as one of the subjects. Mum used to complain how lack was our education system coz we only learnt Malaysia's geography and some on Greenland, Siberia, Thailand and Africa as comparison in climates. Back then, Mum's era (sounds so way back then) the students need to learnt everything from the World Map. She knows China's history, Japan's history and such. That's the difference. Just to point out, you know.

This year only, we have a total of 8 planes crashed either due to bad weather or is being shot down. On Feb 11, Algerian Air Force Lockheed C-130 Hercules crashed with 77 dead. Five days later, Nepal Airlines Flight 183 crashed 74 kilometers south-west of Pokhara, Nepal. All 18 on boards died in the crash. On March 8, Malaysia Airlines MH 370 disappeared from the radar screens. The search for the plane is still ongoing till today. On 17th May, Lao People's Liberation Army Air Force An-74 crashed in northern Laos, killing 16 out of 17. Ukrainian Air Force was being shot down by forces of the Lugansk People's Republic on June 14, killing all 49 on board.

Malaysia Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has earned the international community's admiration on handling of the MH 17 tragedy. When Mr. President, Barack Obama and the rest of world's prime minister wrestled with how to get to the site without legitimizing the rebels or risking security for the insurgents to hand in the bodies and the black box, Datuk Seri Najib took the risk sending officials into a war zone to meet armed rebels whose government almost no one recognized. He put aside diplomatic protocol and safety fears and sent his team. This resulted in the retrieval of bodies and black boxes from the separatist leaders at Donetsk. Kudos to him!! He put the priority of retrieving the bodies first rather than finding on who to blame on for the shoot. It's important for the victims' families to have their loved ones properly buried according to their respective rituals and customs and be rest in peace. Justice can always comes after. Mr. Prime Minister, you deserve the respect and recognition from all Malaysians! A job well done. Who cares what back channel he takes? Itu lain cerita which is not important.

This was not my original content for this entry but since we're in this page, let me continue with the word 'DEATH'. After all that happen in an interval of a week time, death seems inevitable because:

Every person who smokes, is going to die,
Every person who never smokes, is going to die.

Every person who is "overweight", is going to die,
Every person who is never "overweight", is going to die.

Every person who uses illicit drugs, is going to die,
Every person who never uses illicit drugs, is going to die.

Every person who drinks alcohol, is going to die,
Every person who never drinks alcohol, is going to die.

Every person who fails to heed the advice of health advocates, is going to die,
Every person who devotedly follows all the advice of health advocates, is going to die.

One of the commonest reactions to death is fear.  Why do people actually fear of death? Under what conditions does it makes sense to feel fear? I believe everyone of us has religions. The one thing that religion taught us about death is hell. I don't know much about yours but in Buddhism, there are 18 levels of hell (or at least that what I grew up believing in). Hell is said to be a world at the bottom of the universe, more precisely at the inner most layer of the cosmos and is divided into many layers. It is said that sinners feel pain and agony just like living humans when they are subjected to tortures but they cannot 'die' because when the ordeal is over, their bodies will be restored to their original states for the torture to be repeated. The following is the eighteen levels of hell:

First Floor - Chamber of Tongue Ripping
Chamber-of-Tongue-Ripping
Function: Those who stir up troubles by gossiping will find their tongues being ripped out

Second Floor - Chambers of Scissors
Chamber-of-scissors
Function: Those who break the marriage of others will have their fingers cut off

Third Floor - Chamber of Iron Trees
Chamber-of-iron-trees
Function: Those who cause discords among family members of other people will find their body being pierced by hooks and hung upside down on iron trees. Some depictions show sinners having nails hammered into them (similar to crucifixion).

Fourth Floor - Chamber of Mirror

Chamber-of-mirror
Function: Those who escape earthly punishment will find their true shape being displayed in the mirror and the old karmic debt will have to be paid with high interest

Fifth Floor - Chamber of Steamer

Chamber-of-steamer
Function: Instigators and hypocrites will find themselves being steamed in a steamer

Sixth Floor - Floor of Copper Column
Chamber-of-Arsonists
Function: Arsonists will get themselves stuck to a scorching hot copper column

Seventh Floor - Mountain of Knives
007-Mountain-of-Knifes
Function: Those who kill sentient beings with knife will find themselves climbing a hill of knives. Sinners are made to shed blood by climbing a mountain with sharp blades sticking out. Some depictions show offenders climbing trees with knives or sharp thorns sticking out from trunks and branches.

Eighth Floor - Hill of Ice
hills-of-ice
Function: Cold-blooded schemers and ungrateful suckers, including those who ill-treat their partners and elders will find themselves naked in this freezing cold environment. Some depictions show unclothed sinners suffering frostbite in an icy world. Their bodies eventually fall apart or break into pieces.

Ninth Floor - Cauldron of Boiling Oil
cauldren-boiling-oil
Function: Sex offenders such as rapists, lechers and adulterers will find themselves being fried in boiling oil. Some depictions show offenders being steamed rather than fried

Tenth Floor - Chamber of Ox
chamber-of-ox
Function: Those who abuse animals will find themselves being bullied by animals. Sinners are trampled by cattle, gored by beasts with horns or tusks, mauled or eaten by predators, stung or bitten by poisonous species etc

Eleventh Floor - Chamber of Rock
chamber-of-rock
Function: Those who abandon or kill newborns will find themselves being crushed by rocks and soaked in filthy water

Twelfth Floor - Chamber of Pounding
chamber-of-pounding
Function: Those who willfully waste food will find themselves being pounded like crops

Thirteenth Floor - Pool of Blood
Pool-of -Blood
Function: Those who do not respect others will find themselves soaked in blood. Blood spills from all bodily orifices.

Fourteenth Floor - Town of Quitters
town-of-quitters
Function: Those who commit suicide will find themselves wandering in this town of misery where the wind of sorrow and rain of grief blasting day and night

Fifteenth Floor - Chamber of Dismemberment
Chamber-of-Dismemberment
Function: Those who disturb the deceased by digging tombs will find their body being torn into pieces by sawing, carving, slicing in half, running over by vehicles, crushed by heavy rocks, pounding into pulp

Sixteen Floor - Mountain of Flames
Mountain-of-Flames
Function: Those who steal, bribe and rob will find themselves surrounded by the lasting inferno

Seventeenth Floor - Yard of Stone Mill
yard-of-stone-mill
Function: Those who abuse their power and oppress the people will find themselves being ground into powder

Eighteenth Floor - Chamber of Saw
chamber-of-saw
Function: Those who exploit the loopholes in the law to cheat and engage in malpractice in business will find themselves being sawed into half

King Yama in Chinese mythology or Hades in Geek mythology is the judge of the underworld and passes judgments on all the dead. In Chinese mythology, we have the Ox-head and horse-face guardians. It is said that they are the first people a dead soul meets upon arriving the Underworld. They directly escort the newly dead to the Underworld. The Ox-head and horse-face guardians are the personification of death just like in Greek mythology, Thanatos is the personification of death. He appeared to humans to bring them off the underworld when the their time had expired. In other words, they are the grin reaper.

Questions come lingering my mind as we're talking on this. What would happen if I die tomorrow? Am I fear of death itself? Will I regret of dying? I guess the answer to my questions is no. I'm not fear of death, for after all it is inevitable. No one actually knows when they'll die. So why not live life to the fullest. If I die tomorrow, I'll die as a granddaughter, a daughter and a big sister who's stubborn at times (nothing to be proud off), full of love towards animals, loves eating (that's for sure) and a perfectionist. Things that I'll regret would be for not telling mum that I love her as much as I love dad, for not able to protect mum and the rest anymore and for not living my life to the fullest here. *wipe tears I detest everything here. I hate the dirty environment that I have to come across everyday I walk to college, my housemates and the system here. I'll regret dying with so few friends around. Regret for not being more social.

The sad part of my funeral would be the amount of people that come to send me off. I guess, at the last part of your life, the amount of people that come to send you off do actually determine what kind of person are you in their eyes. Dad had the grand-est funeral ever with so many close friends and family members that came to send him off on his final journey of life. No doubt he must be a really great man in his life. One thing for sure, if I die tomorrow, I'll die with the regrets for not doing more good deeds to cover my bad deeds for shouting at mum, lying to her, cheating in exams and the list goes on. I'll die bringing my bad deeds together with me to hell facing my punishments leaving mum, my siblings, grandma and also my pets. Will I leave as a good friend? That is an answer that I wish to know too...

“Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity.”

Breaking News

Woke up at midnight with a breaking new that is all over Twitter and Facebook. MH17 that is scheduled for arrival at Kuala Lumpur International airport at 6.10 am local time from Amsterdam, was believed to have been shoot down by insurgents in the border of Russia and Ukraine. The jet was carrying 298 passengers with 15 crew members with 189 Dutch, 44 Malaysians, 27 Australians, 12 Indonesians, 9 British nationals, 4 Belgians, 4 Germans, 3 Filipinos, one Canadian and a New Zealander. Among the victims were 100+ of world leading AIDS researchers. They are heading to the AIDS 2014 conference in Melbourne on Sunday. Joep Lange, who researched the condition for more than 30 years and was considered a giant in the field, admired for his tireless advocacy for access to affordable AIDS drugs for HIV positive patients living in poor countries was one of the victims. 121 bodies have been recovered so far.

The jet crashed in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine where the Pro-Russian separatists have been fighting the Ukrainian security forces. According to Eurocontrol's information, the doomed plane was flying at 10,000 meters when it disappeared from radar screens. From the released news, Ukraine's government said that the jet was shot down in a 'terrorist act' while comments attributed to a pro-Russia rebel chief suggested his men may have downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 by MISTAKE, believing it was a Ukrainian army transport plane. Well, to the men that shoot down the plane by mistake, I hope you guys know that that mistake took 295 innocent life's and has affected more than thousands of people all over the world. May the guilt hunt them for the rest of their lives, if they still have the conscience in them.

It is emotionally draining and devastating to deal with another tragedy as we as a nation have yet to even recover from MH370. 2014 has been a tragic year and to think that we're only half way through. I try to avoid social media as much as I can because to see the news of hundreds of innocent life's gone, it's a heart breaking. There's always a tingling sensation in me when I saw all those photos of the scene. Perhaps the tingling sensation is a part of my own mourning process.  Too numb from it for teardrops to fall. I don't understand why it happen. Why do one need to shoot down a commercial flight? So far, there are no survival.

MAS said air traffic controllers lost contact with flight MH17 at 1415 GMT
as it flew over eastern Ukraine towards Russian border.

Please stop blaming MAS. It's not like it's their fault. Malaysia Transport Minister, Liow Tiong Lai has denied that Malaysia Airlines was trying to save fuel when Flight MH17 took the route over south-eastern Ukraine. He even added that many other countries (airlines) are taking the same route. MH17's flight was approved by Eurocontrol, who are solely responsible for determining civil aircraft flight paths over European airspace. Eurocontrol is the air navigation service provider for Europe and is governed under ICAO rules. The route over Ukrainian airspace where the incident occurred is commonly used for Europe to Aisa flights. A flight from a different carrier was on the same route at the time of the MH17 incident, as were a number of other flights from other carriers in the days and weeks before. Eurocontrol maintains records of all flights across European airspace, including those across Ukraine.

In April, the International Civil Aviation Organization identified an area over the Crimean peninsula as risky. At no point did MH17 fly into, or request to fly into, this area. At all times, MH17 was in airspace approved by the ICAO. MH17 filed a flight plan requesting to fly at 35,000ft throughout Ukrainian airspace. This is close to the ‘optimum’ altitude. However, an aircraft’s altitude in flight is determined by air traffic control on the ground. Upon entering Ukrainian airspace, MH17 was instructed by Ukrainian air traffic control to fly at 33,000ft.

The latest update

It explains the 'mistake' thou. Taken from a source,“I can say that Putin’s plane and the Malaysian Boeing intersected at the same point and the same echelon. That was close to Warsaw on 330-m echelon at the height of 10,100 meters. The presidential jet was there at 16:21 Moscow time and the Malaysian aircraft - 15:44 Moscow time,”
