Rich Brats

My mouse broke down so I'm down too. It feels like losing your left hand. Feel so cacat now. Shall wait till CNY to bring it home and replace it with my doggy printed mouse. This is the moment when you realized that expensive doesn't mean good. And my mouse isn't any mouse le. It's Logitech one and I just used it for 19 days!! The hell?! So lousy. Even the doggy printed one is better. I vowed to never purchase any wireless mouse again!! So expensive and is the fastest to 'die'. Without the mouse, I feel so mood-less to update le blog, doing my extra reading online or anything related to the lappy. Ah mousy, I can't live without you.

Have been listening to CNY songs over the radio and it seems like tanglungs and red cloth had been hung everywhere. Feel so down yet excited to go home. I'm torn between two. Not looking forward to CNY as it reminds me that I'm coming home a day earlier and only get to spend 3 days at home. But at the same time I can't wait to go home and celebrate CNY with the rest of them thou it's not that anticipated as when Dad is around. Somehow, the mood and celebration seems dim without him. When Dad's around, he would make us all to wear red on new year. No exception for the first day. Red = ong. We would always look forward to angpaus and reunion dinner as all of the family including uncles and aunties from oversea would be back, gather all around the dinner table. Aah, miss the moment so much. Things get complicated when Dad left. No more anticipation for CNY.

Shall brighten up the blog a lil with my fav CNY song

Yesterday, le roommates actually hired Indon maid to clean the house. I somehow think it's not fair for me since I'm always hiding in my room. I don't even use the living room and the kitchen. Besides, RM 50 per month for a person is expensive le. Hell, I can survive 8 days with RM 50 which is a lot for me and you asked me to pay for something that I don't even involve with. Beh tahan!! My room is so small so very bo tai le and I don't like strangers to enter my refuge. My room is like my heaven so unless I trust you very much, strangers can't enter. Since the room is so small, there isn't much to clean anyway except for the hairs on the floor.  And also the electric and the Internet bill is so expensive! My RM 50 flies within second and that doesn't even include water bill yet. Haih. Everything needs money now. I'm dying!! This is the problem you'll face when you're living with rich people. Rich people ma. Always find ways to spend their extra money. I don't understand how hard is it for you to clean and sweep the floor on yourself? Why need to spend RM 200 every month on sometime that you and I can do by ourself. I really want to explode lo. You cook, you clean la. Why need to you cook, I no eat but I need to pay for cleaning too? No logic in there. Urghhh... Can't wait for them all to move out since all is already at their final year. Be patient, Karen!!

For the past two days, I kept dreaming of Annie, her boyfie, Wee Keat and Kitty. It's so real. They came to visit me and we went shopping together. Guess, I really miss them lo after all, we're together for a year. Dreams really gotten pretty real that I can't differentiate between reality and imagination anymore. I woke up yesterday with the smell of Mum's cooking, her famous Tau Kee Bak. That is like her specialty coz she only cook that every time Popo is away. Mum seldom cook and when she cooks, she cooks her Tau Kee Bak. When I woke up, I felt like I'm at home till I opened the door and Ameera greeted me. Feel so disappointed and down. =(

From above left: Christine, Kitty, Annie and me

"Good times don't last long but good memories last forever"

Today, I broke my record lo. I woke up at 9 am just to walk 500 m to the delicious Fried Kueh Teow stall beside the main road. Whoa! Never been s impressed with my determination before. Was so happy and satisfied to eat the Kueh Teow that I was smiling the whole time I ate it. Hahaha. *sakai

This baru is Fried Kueh Teow ma.
The other day one is Fried Tauge

Without realizing, I've been here for 2 weeks already. Through this 2 weeks, I've made at least 4 friends and have been studied even harder than before. I'm gonna prove it to Mum that I can get 3.5 pointer. I'm not gonna fool around anymore like I used to. Mark my words. Mum's really worry about me here. Keep asking me everyday whether I've made friends or not or what I ate for lunch and breakfast. Well, no more worries Mum. I'm so fine here. I've also adapted myself to UCSI surrounding which is very different from KBU, keeping the fact in my brain that I'll be here till my degree. Thou I'm still missing Annie and Kitty, I guess there's still the chance of meeting since we're all in KL. Not too far to meet, right?

Loving my messy hair look
Bear with it!
Muahahaha *evil laugh

Today's 19 and is a very important day to me. It's Xiao Ai's birthday!! LOL! Can't believe that my boy has grown so much in the past 2 years. Sometimes, I wish that I just have the ability to stop the time so I get to spend more time with him. Sadly, we all know that's impossible thou the word itself said "I'm Possible". Lame joke =.= Again, for this year, I'm not around to celebrate with Xiao Ai. Sad. But never mind. Will make it up to him once I'm home for CNY. If in this world, fairies do indeed exist and they do granted people's wishes, I shall ask for nothing but for my Xiao Ai here to be bless with abundant health and that he shall live forever and ever~ The thought of not having him by my side is miserable. God, wai you so not fair want? Why did you give human's bestfriend such a short life span? What are the humans gonna do once their bestfriends left them?? *sobs sobs

My Xiao Ai, the one and only
Miss hugging him le.
Gonna hug him lots lots once I'm home

Till here.
XOXO~

GDragon uh

There's only one lecture today which is Fundamental of Math at 8.00 - 9.30 am. HORRAY!!! Thank goodness that tutorial won't be starting till Week 3. My last week of tutorial free. Enjoy while it last. Learning Sets today. And I'm bored to death for learning again the same thing. No offense or anything but I feel the lecturer is treating us like a bunch of idiots, explaining so damn detail when we've already learned that thing. And we too feel so stupid for learning again what we've already know. Ahhh. Stress! Later then I went down myself to the photocopy shop to get the extra exercises the lecturer provided. Damn. Money again. And so it was RM3.70. We often think that once we paid for like example, school fees, everything is included but the fact is that the fees is only the small proportion of it. That doesn't even include like sports attire, books, PIBG fees etc.

My newly made friends? Nah. I don't bother much. I think I prefer to be more independent since my friends will not be following me until the end of the world, right? I don't want to get to attached to them and then rely on them on everything. It made me look helpless. I hate the feeling of people controlling me. And keep in mind too that once I decided to hate that person, it takes a lifetime to change the hater to love. So NEVER CROSS MY WAY!!! Seriously, Sha really reminds me of Evelynn, a friend from KBU which I still don't like till now. They're like twins. Exactly the same character. Why is fate treating me like this? Can I meet more nicer people like May Ping? What have I done wrong? I realized something. I'm always befriend with either clingy people (becoz they are alone and I targeted them at first sight) or either nice and quite people like May Ping. Can I be friends with some delinquent girls? Well at least I can be the naughty girl once in my life.. Befriends with delinquent teens doesn't make you one of them. You're still you. You just have extra few more friends to befriends with. That's all!

Gonna live in misery for a week
Sobs sobs

And so today I bought something that I've never thought I would buy for that reason, at least. I bought NEWSPAPER!! Okay, perhaps buying newspaper is not weird but buying newspaper to wrap your thingy is WEIRD! I've never bought newspaper during my stay at KBU coz KBU provide free newspaper! And once a month, you would see us, girls taking few newspaper home just for that particular reason. Hahaha... Normally, we wouldn't even glance at the newspaper. On the way back I tau pau my normal meal from the chap fun shop. Bought two box for lunch and dinner with a total of RM 5.80 and the aunty there was asking is that enough coz a normal person would eat almost RM 6 for only a meal. Oh, that RM 5.80 is sure enough for my tummy, I assured you, Aunty.

My RM 1.20 flew for only that purpose
$.$

Having period and stomach cramps really spoilt the day. Why should we be punished for NOT getting pregnant?? Hen sad le... Keep think about my miserable stomach. Ooh, how nice hor if got boyfie to go buy and bring me hot chocolate at time like this?? Keep dreaming.... Spend the wjole day on lappy watching YouTube videos and Running Man (can't believe I said that). Kevin Richardson and his lions caught my attention today. He's so kewl to be able to wrestle with lion and hyenas. I salute people like this that dedicated their lives for the lives of others. And I hope one day I can be able to involve in something like this too. *grins Big dreams... Dreams keep us living, don't they? They are the reason for us to look forward every single day.

And so is Running Man. I used to hate Japanese/ Koreans movie. No offense but what's the reason of listening to their songs/movies/dramas if you don't understand a thing? It's that stupid for spending time on something that you don't even understand? It's like watching two Indians talking non stop without a single clue on what they are talking about. To those who is clearly blur than me for not know what Running Man is, Running Man is a South Korean variety show where the members are required to play games to complete the mission of the day. This is the perfect show to watch if you're planning a game for a party or something. And with each mission, they have important guests like Big Bang, Jang Ki Ha, Beast, Infinite, Girls Day and many more.

I started my watching Running Man routine when I was alone here, bored and moody, needing a laugh. I so recommend this to anyone who need a good laugh. Confirm you will laugh watching them. If they fail to make you laugh, then you must be very depressed and sad. Pity you.. Go find a doctor or something. NEVER kill yourself. And so today I was watching the episode on Idols with BigBang , Infinite and many more Korean idols in it. I don't know why my friends are so into Bigbang and GDragon. I never even bother to wonder why or even find an answer to that till I laid my eyes on GDragon for the first time in my life. Huhu. Nothing special pun with that cute look, sepet eyes and small figure. GDragon fans are so gonna kill me for this. Hahaha.

Sorry GDragon fans, he's so uh uh. At only 5'9, his growth is confirm stunted.

No offense. So GDragon don't spit your fire on me, yeah?

This is all for today.
It's already 10.30 pm and I wonder why Mum haven't Skype me.

Wednesday 15 January 2014

Pyjamas ?! Seriously?!

I just hate morning classes especially those lecture requires me to wake up as early as 7 am!! My first lecture for the day was Introduction to Malaysian Studies. Finally, we made some progressed with 10 students in the class. We've all chosen our presentation. Sad to say that since there are only 10 of us we have to do INDIVIDUAL presentation. I wouldn't really mind if it's in Bahasa but we're talking about History that I've learnt since Form 1 in Bahasa but now I have to present it in English. Stress! Can you imagine "Yang Di-Pertuan Agong" is His Majesty and "Majlis Raja-raja Melayu" is the Royal Council? Sounds weird huh? So what is "Temenggung" in English or "Laksamana"? Today we're learning about Malaysia's Government System and Constitution. I guess we, the Malaysian cope pretty well except for the language but then there's an international student in the class so basically the lecture gotta explain more detail on how His Majesty and the Prime Minister thing works. The best explanation given by the lecturer is His Majesty is like a father while Prime Minister is like a mother. Father has the authority but mother does all the work. >.< Ooh and I don't even know that the yearly budget proposed by the Prime Minister need the approval of His Majesty. Huh? Can't believe that this kind of budget is approved. Lousy budget! When you're thinking you helping by giving, you raise everything that needed to survive. Doesn't that make sense? Whatever. Don't plan to explain more detail. As long as I understand, that's enough. Blaaak. Speaking nonsense again.

Well, Biology class was funny enough. When our lecturer entered, I never thought I would ever heard this question but one of our international student, Shahir asked our lecturer, "Mam, are you wearing PYJAMAS?" OHMAIGODD!!! The rest of us was laughing so loud even the sleepy me craking a smile too. And the reply given is, "Shahir are you still sleeping? This is not pyjamas. It's one of our official clothing called the baju kurung."

This is my graduation photo taken in 2011.
What we wore (those 3 from the left) are baju kurung
It's our national clothing here in Malaysia for the women
It's for the Malay but then anyone can wear it as long as you're a girl

As for the guys,

it's Baju Melayu as what David Chuchuleta wore here

Since we're already on this page on national clothing,

This is for the Chinese Ah Moi!

CHEONGSAM!!
(Wore during 2012 CNY)

And Samfu for the guys.

As for Indians,

Saree for the females.
(That's me in saree for our Interact's Amazing Race in 2011. Aahh. Those wonderful memories!)

And Dhoti for the males.

These are all our national clothing which reflect the three main cultures. Yes, it is a formal clothing and can be wear in formal events. I never knew I've worn all the three national clothing. I'm just as surprised when I dug out all those photos while writing this. A sense of achievement just hit me. Yesh, babehh!! The most difficult to wear is the traditional saree as you have to wrap the long piece of cloth all over your body. Me and my friends actually took almost 2 hours to help me in that attire. Such an experience. So please, never again say that our national clothing is a PYJAMAS. Very sad leh.. Doesn't matters if you're an international students coz when you're in Malaysia you should at least learnt something about the culture here. PAISEH LEHHH!!!! PYJAMAS?! Never thought of that before.

As far as I know, international students have to enter extra classes for Bahasa Kebangsaan which is our National Language. I wonder how the teacher teaches them? By translating English into Bahasa? "How are you?" is "Apa khabar?" Thank you = terima kasih  Or Nasi Lemak = Fat Rice?! No, huh? Hahaha. Fat rice sounds weird. LOLL!

Class ended at 11 am so after I buying my lunch and dinner, I walked back to the condo. When the lift arrived and I was about to enter, there's this male African that was looking weird weird at me. The heck? And suddenly he shouted, "Hey, I know you?" I was like, (O.O) THE HELL???! I don't know you and quickly entered the lift and pressed the button closed repeatedly. Too scary!! Freaking creepy. Thank god nothing happen. Huish. *wipe sweat I'm not being racist or what here but the fact is it's still scares me to see Africans especially at night, spotting them with beers on hands. Note to self: Never ever go out at night!!!

For the rest of afternoon, I slept, ate lunch and did my laundry. I prefer to do my laundry by hands thou there's a washing machine here. Lets just say that I'm a clean freak but the idea of tossing all my clothes into the same place where the rest of my housemates threw their lingerie in doesn't seem right to me. It's disgusting. And more disgusting is that they don't even bother to nicely hang their panties on the metal rods. So there's still someone who's lazier than me? Should I be happy for that? It's a sad thing to see their nice, lacey panties while mine are only grandma panties. Sob sob. Nevermind, comfort comes first and with comfort comes confidence. Anyway, it's not like there's someone gonna peep at the panty your wearing and compliment them. Hush hush...

XOXO~
Time for a little physic!
Bye!!

#Kangkung

I'm gonna have this done real fast coz it's already quarter to nine and I'm suppose to study Physics as I basically daydreaming in the class yesterday. Still can figure out why I got the wrong answer for last night exercise on vectors. Urghh! I gonna die of Physic. Physic, please don't kill me once more. You've killed me once during SPM. I shall get my revenge! You wait! Today is a public holiday here in Malaysia as it's Prophet Muhammad's birthday. Nevertheless, it's a HOLIDAY!! I planed to do so much today but got so little done. I haven't even started my revision since morning. Mum is so gonna disappointed.

Oh, about the kangkung. Almost forget it. #Kangkung or water spinach is trending on twitter and even Facebook as for last night. It's because the price of #kangkung decrease! Cheers! More reason to eat healthy now! Hahaha. More detailed about the trending #kangkung can be read here ! I'm so going McD to order McKangkung.

Digital art by a disgruntled netizen on the 'kangkung' issue. – Januar 13, 2014.

Talking about #kangkung, today I went down to my favourite restaurant to ta pao chap fun for my lunch and dinner. And I spotted a stall in front of the shop that sell kuew teow so I ordered one. It was RM 6. Bloody expensive for the fact that there's no prawns or oysters. But then I was really craving for some kueh teow. I got a shocked when I opened it.

I'm contemplating whether to eat or not coz visually it's so not yummy

And I even found kangkung in there
Never knew we have kangkung in fried kuew teow
I know the fact that Malaysians are all celebrating the decrease in the price of kangkung
But kangkung in kueh teow is a NO!

There's a thing with this water spinach. Once I heard stories about it. As it's name said, water spinach is grow in the water by the rivers, sometimes. So there has been cases where leech lives in the hollow stalk of the water spinach. And it happens that people don't really cook vegie for long so when people consume it, the leech enter the body and live in there. It's pretty scary but no lies. It's true story. So no matter what, try to cook the water spinach longer than necessary! Shall say no more. Time is ticking. Go figure it yourself.

For the whole afternoon, the lazy bam bam here was sleeping, mostly except for the lunch and the 15 minutes of mopping the room floor with a CLOTH! Pathetic! I don't really want to buy a broom yet a mop coz I very seldom use them. When I was leaving KBU, we gave away my almost never use broon, my never once touched mop, my 3/4 quarter of detol and my very colorful dustbin to the Indon guard there. Mum feel that it's a waste coz I don't really sweep or mop. Basically I just use my hands to gather all the hairs and little crumbs of food or paper in my hand before throwing them into the bin. So the mop and a broom is so unnecessary here.

As for my dinner, I had this

Curry chicken, lemon chicken and also JAPANESE TOFU!
And it's only RM 3.50 !!!
Super love the kind and sweet aunty for giving me cheap food.
It's not the money that matter but if you can get cheap and nice food, why not.

I think I rather have this RM 3.50 than the uneatable RM 6 fried kuew teow!

At the end of my lunch,
I threw out this much of vegie!
Can you imagine having this much of vegie.
I think it's more but I've ate most of the tauge to the point where
I'm only tasting the tauge and not the kuew teow

Next time, remind me to ask the uncle here to change his menu to FRIED TAUGE!!

So never gonna buy any food from his shop anymore.
So not worth it!

XOXO~

Hah! I've broke my record for the fastest ever entry to be typed out.
Half an hour is the time recorded!
Okay. Thanks. Bye.
Gotta go. Miss me

Monday 13 January 2014

Monday Blues

One should really never too into reading! I was so into the story that I was reading today that I almost late for my 8 am class. Urghh! The feeling when you realized that you're late and trying to be faster and the lift seems to think otherwise by stopping at almost every floor! The heck? The worst part is that I'm on 26th floor! Hell! I was stomping my feet in the lift, cursing at those who entered. Once down, I almost ran as fast as lightning to UCSI. Wish I have a magic shoes or at least a pair of wings so there's no hurry. I can even leave the house 5 minutes before lecture starts. *dreaming

Went into lecture, soaked in sweat! I don't think I can survive a year here, climbing the hill all day. I'm dying. This just show how bad my stamina is. My last exercise is like a month ago. Gotta find that determination back! I hope I didn't gain weight from all those foods that I'm eating everyday. Haven't really gotten myself a weighing scale here so can't weighed. It would be so embarrassing if the 7 kilos lost gain back in just 2 weeks time. Mum would be terrified if my CNY clothes can't fit me anymore. Worst to worst, I'll be staying at home during the first day of CNY, telling relatives and friends that I'm so sick. Hmm. Good idea.

Started the day with the worst subject of all, Introduction to Malaysian Studies aka HISTORY! You can find no better sleeping medicine than HISTORY. I don't understand and agreed with Malaysian Education System. We've been learning history since form 1 till form 5. Form 1 to form 3 we've learn prehistory times which is Zaman Batu, Zaman Logam and Zaman Besi, then we learnt about Portuguese, Dutch (I never know Belanda is Dutch till today. So durian belanda is Dutch durian?), British and even Japanese colonization. We then proceed to Resident system and all those important figures that fight against the British's system, to Japanese's tricks for invading Malaya and the independence fought by our great leaders . Sad to say, in form 4 and form 5, we're still learning the SAME thing except for some addition on Nabi Muhammad and the Saidina and the renaissance part. And AGAIN, I gotta learnt the same thing in Malaysian Studies! The hell? The only difference this time is that I'm gonna learnt it in English. -__- Walao! No better thing to study and explore ah? I think I rather learnt about World History than learning for 7 years the same exact thing. Politicians or ministry involved should really put their attention here, on this matter for us, student to learnt the same thing for 7 years is totally stupid rather than fighting among themselves, comparing their wealth. Better yet, I heard students gotta learnt history from standard 4 onwards starting this year. HELL! You're gonna study the sameee thing for 10 years, till you go uni. Hahaha.... That's the sad life of students.

Malaysian Studies class was boring. There are only 7 of us. And the teacher is so nua ka. Sian doh. this is not exactly how I imagine my new learning environment would be. Probability and Statistic is not any better. We're actually learning the same thing again but in this case, the lecturer decided to confused us with her choice of words. Hell. I really think lecturers that are teaching the same thing as to what we learnt in form 4 and form 5 should really go and take a look at our books back then which are easier to understand. I think I was day dreaming the whole time except the part where she spoke the word 'determine' coz she pronounced it 'deter-min'. I was bickering her for that. Huhuhu.. Class ended early before the next one so we went to lunch outside with May Ting, Hui Sin (new girl), Amelia (new girl) and Sha. Ate chap fun at the nearest one to the campus. Hell. It was fucking expensive. I've only took 2 slice of Japanese tofu, butter fish and some taukee. It's RM4. I'm not gonna step my foot in there alrdy.

Since there's almost two hour break, after lunch I walked back to home with May Ting but not before I stopped again at another chap fun shop to take away for my dinner. Took 2 slice of Japanese tofu and a big piece of black pepper chicken chop for only RM4.So who's cheaper now? I have this weird obsession on Japanese tofu and I wonder why. Since I don't eat vegie, I guess if I were to be a vegetarian next time in the future, I can always survive on tofu. Hehehe. Not bad. Nonetheless, the Japanese tofu here is cooked all in the same way. No variety. I love Popo's Japanese tofu dish. Will have the recipe the next trip I'm home. *determined This means that I'm already planning my meal when I'm home for CNY. Hahaha. Hah! Talking about recipe, I lost the Chicken Rice recipe that I took from Popo the day before we were to leave for Bangkok. Can't find it anywhere in my room or the kitchen. Waste my whole day in the kitchen. Popo has the best Chicken Rice in town. Wait, perhaps not. The second best. The best one would be in kampong Cina, my favorite stall that uses margarine to cook the rice and fry the chicken. They made the best sauce too.

Physic started at 12.30 and again I was running for my life. In a month time, I shall gain muscle and stamina from all those running. So if I really gain weight after all the running and sweat, I would chop my body into two. Worthless body! I tell you la but you have to keep this a secret. I really hate keling! I've always into problems with keeling. Same goes to the keling which I 'had' (purposely put had to wish death came upon him. Wahaha. *evil laugh) as neighbor back home. He actually went to pulled out all my newly planted coconut trees when we're away in Bangkok! Idiot, stupid fella. Was so mad when Goaty told me that. So this keling here was no exception. No notes? Go print la. Don't know how to print? Find a way la. Why have to keep relying on others? I hate too clingy friends. Sorry. Don't come near me if you're clingy. The world doesn't only revolves about you. I have a life too. And I don't really need you in it!

You know the feeling when it's you're first day of schooling and you know no one and just grab some random strangers to befriends with. Well, here's a tip for those nerds like me. FRIST, never find friend that are already with another friend. Example, A is friend with B already. This type is a no no. In any case, A will left you without hesitation for B. So why go so desperate? Find one that is lonely so he/she shall never leave you. Here is where the problem arise. They become too clingy. =.='' Anything, they find you which means more problems. Deep down, we all know this type of relationship is only temporary. It's only time for me or the other person to find a new friend and leave me alone. I have much of these. I've survive in PLKN where my new friend left me for her other new friend which is the of the same race. Bull 1Malaysia. It's all the same.

I was so sleepy in Physics that I barely paid any attention at all. It seems like me and Mr. Physic can never get along. Feel so bad when Mum is paying so much for my fees and putting high hopes on me, I'm actually on the edge to drifting my mind off. The frustration came when Mr. Teng announced that Mon (3rd of February) is a holiday. FUCK! I've booked my flight back here on Sun. I was so down and frustrated coz I have to come back here earlier a day when there's no class on Monday. Waste my time here. I rather spend more time at home with my Mami and Xiao Ai. Urgh.. Hate the whole school for not informing earlier! I want to cry. Why did I have to book the flight so early? Why didn't I asked the lecture for confirmation? Why this and why that? I'm actually so stressed and kept thing about how to adjust my flight the whole 1 hour and 30 minutes in Physic. Barely paid any attention. Worst, I have no idea about the vectors thingy that we were learning today. Great. Just great.

And when I was so frustrated and stressed, the keling actually wanted to borrow my notes to photostat but taking her time to pack and leave the class. BLOODY HELL?! Can't you see that I'm rushing to go back and sleep off my frustration? To make matter worst, I actually snapped at her when she put my notes in her mouth while adjusting her pants. THE HELL?! Can't you asked me to hold it?  If you were to ask, I'm more than happy to hold it for you. But you, the disgusting brat decided to hold it on your mouth. YUCKS! I feel so disgusting that I barely want to hold the paper later then. I think my temper got the best out of me today. Coz once again, it flared up when we're at the photostat machine to print the notes out, she decided that she'll do it next time. BLOODY BITCH! Next time plan earlier so you don't waste my time and also your time. Ignoring her, I walked off straight back to the Condo. Bye!!

Enough of stress for a day. Thank god tomorrow is a public holiday here. Hope it's a better day tomorrow without having to see those sampat faces.

XOXO~

Does this look like gaining weight?
I hope not!
*fingercrossed
Don't mind the messy room

2014

It's almost 2 weeks we enter 2014 yet I'm still thinking I'm living in 2013. It feels weird to write '14' at the date box when filling in my attendance. So New Year ma, what's new? I can't see anything new except the new price toll, new price tags on stationaries and list goes on. Such a burden to the citizen. And also not forgetting there's an increase in electric bills!! It's funny how Tigress kept shouting and reminding to switch off fans and tvs while not in use coz THE ELECTRIC BILL IS INCREASING once the clock strike 12.00 am !!

New chapter of life begins. I'm now in UCSI raking another year of foundation. Let me tell you, it was a last minute decision to study in UCSI. The plan at first was to repeat another year of foundation in IMU. I was about to fill in all the documents when I read this...

There's no way I'm risking my another year if I still can't get my pointer 3.5 and can't enroll in any other Uni. Just imagine that. Stuck in the middle. So without taking any possible risk, I found UCSI and after discussing it with Mum, we decided to go with it. It was one hectic week. Filling in forms, calling and calling the counselor just to make sure I've done what needed to be done. Thank goodness, Ms Pauline is a kind person. Yeah, she helped a lot. Mum even said that I'm lucky to be able to find such a tolerating person to tolerate with all my questions and stuff even thou she's busy too with the rest.

But then there's a problem. Since it's all last minute, there's no rooms available for me. On campus is full. Thou it's not full, I don't want it either. the reason is because we're only allow to stay there for 4 months before kicking us out and expect me to find my own accommodation for the rest 6 months. I don't like the idea of that. After I've comfortable with my surrounding, you decided to kick me out and except me to restart all over again?! Sorry, NO WAY! So there is this one day, on the 30 Dec that I called the Accommodation and Service Dept. to talk to Ms Keling that she told me there's a single room available at Angkasa Condo which is about 10 minutes walk to UCSI. Gladly, I took it. I was over the moon that I finally have a place to say. But then my instinct told me that, "Nah, I'm not that lucky".

And I hit the jackpot straight on my face when I called two days later which is 1 Jan, Ms Keling said that there's no room. Fuming with anger, I asked why she said got room the other day and now said no room. Even better, she denied talking to me!! The hell?! Then how do I get her hand phone number? Who the hell did I talk the other day? I was so angry and frustrated coz that very morning Mum just bank in money for my fees . Now where the hell am I going to stay since I've already paid for the course but no place to stay. I was so down and stressed.

I guess God really take a pity on me. That night my conscious mind telling me to go to the Net and find a place to stay. And I followed my instinct. Hell! I found a SINGLE room, fully furnished and it's only RM480 per month!! Hell yeah! Straight away, I booked the room and arranged to view it the next day with the landlord, Mrs Lee. I'm so happy!! The whole night I enthusiastically packed all my belongings and boarded the next day with Mum and Mousy!

We went to view the room that very night, which is a Friday night and close the deal straight away! Even thou it's a little small room, I have nothing to complain. It's better than nothing right? =D So happy! And also, I'm living in a house full with Indonesian girls. LOL! And they look nothing near Indon. If it was not for their slang, I would thought them as ang mohs!

Nicely decorated

Kitchen area

It's a bit messy for my liking

Laundry area

Dining area

A small sofa to fit a small space

A sharing toilet

My refuge for a year~

So far I've found two new friends here. A sweet May Ting from Klang and Sha from Penang. The difference between UCSI and KBU is that I gotta print all my notes myself. Urghh. Why can't just they print it out for me? Sipek stingy. And also, everything is done online. Another URGH!! If one day, all the telecommunication company is down, we are not able to study then! Yip yip horray!! It's a big Uni so different from KBU where the lectures printed out notes for you and have your timetable ready. Here, I gotta arranged my timetable myself which is also a good thing. I put most of my classes on Mon, Tue and Wed, leaving Thu and Fri a class or two. Hahaha. This is so that I can skip classes to go back if needed. Huh?! Clever right?

And to all, May this year be a better year than the previous!
Keep smiling!

Faux SMARTPHONES - Bangkok

I'm back!! And really glad to be back. It's been almost three weeks and without realizing we've enter 2014. This shall be my first entry of the year. 2013 had been a nothing but great. A amazing year thou I failed to pursue my degree in Pharmacy. Blogging started because I was bored while in college and decided to spend my time blogging rather than stalking others at Facebook. And 2013 also brought great memories with ex-coursmates, Annie, Kitty, Wee Kiat and Sofea. We went shopping spree, food marathon and much more. And also, Mum brought us to Bangkok for the year-end holidays. We seldom go for holidays. Can count it by fingers the number of times we went for a holiday. I always hated it when school's open and on the very first day, teachers asked the "Where did you go for holidays?" question because I have nothing to talk about. Sadd..

Back to the point, I didn't abandon my poor virtual home here. But I just barely have time for myself let alone to sit in front of the laptop for hours typing an entry out. My bad. Well, for the rest of the #toelephantcountrywego trip, I shall ended our trip with this entry. No point having entries on day 6, 7 and 8 because we basically walked around Baiyoke Suite hotel area. Here's a short summary. For day 6, we went to Indera plaza to shop. Not much stuff here except for the old-fashioned clothes and clothes for those Aunties and Ah Ma to wear. But then, it's no doubt the best place to buy real snake purse or something. PETA is really gonna find me after this. And so I bought a CROCODILE purse!!

FOR THB 200!!!

And yeah, it's FAKE. You can't get a real crocodile skin purse at that price. It's probably thousand or more. In Indera plaza also, we bought lots of leggings at THB 50 per piece. Super affordable coz the material is so stretchable and comfy! Yeah, to those who loves glam and leather wallet or purse, perhaps Indera Plaza is the place to go. Mind you, real leather is expensive. Here also Mum bought herself a stingray purse which fascinates me and Tigress to no extend. According to the taukeh niang (lady boss), real stingray purse will not burn. If you doubt, ask them to light a lighter and glide the fire on the surface of the purse in front of you. You can feel the warmth on the surface but nothing is burn. How kewl is that??

Something like this. You see the eye-shaped in the middle of the purse. Well, Mum said the bigger the eye is, the more expensive the purse is because it means the stingray is HUGE!

It is an understatement to say that Indera Plaza is for the olds coz it's heaven for IT geeks except that they're selling faux smartphones. On our very first day at Indera Plaza, we passed by an IT shop and was rambang mata seeing all those gadgets selling at a very cheap price. Well, it was probably 5 to 1 of the original. Feeling that it's a waste by walking away from such a good deal, we bought a faux Samsung Note III after hours of bargaining and debating. Our very concern was it will explode and it can't function. From what we saw at the displayed, everything was fine except for the quality of the captured photos. So we bought it at THB 4000. Tigress was so against it that she fan lian with me and Mum by not talking to us the whole night.

So we got what we saw and went again to Indera Plaza the next two days to buy another faux smartphones for Uncle. I guess my characters bring the best of me. I the person who done lots of research about something before decide to buy it. So I went to numerous shop asking for prices and compared. Note here that out of 10 phone shops in Indera Plaza, 9 are selling faux phones. And so I went to different shop asking about the prices of Note 3. The early prices probably started the same at THB 12000. And when you decided to walk away, the cut to THB 8000. Trying to walk away again, they offered THB 5000. The moment when they said,"Okay. How much you want?" is the moment when you're in charge of the game. So at this one particular shop, I said I want THB 2500 for Note 3. And the very honest Myanmar-ese asked me which quality I want. Apparently there different quality that I yet to know. He even showed me the difference between the Korean made (the one I bought two days earlier) and the China made one. And so the Korean made one is far better than the China made as the China ones is NOT touch screen. He literally show me that there's a button there. With much gratitude that he taught me something, I walked away. And we went again to the shop where I bought my Note 3 coz Mum wanted to buy a faux IPhone 5. Thank goodness, the same seller told us that IPhone 5 is no good coz Apps Store can't use.

That is when I stumbled upon another shop. While doing my "trying-to-walk-away" act, the seller there who is also a Myanmar-ese offered me THB 2500. I was like, "The heck?". Thou it's cheap, I still doubt it. After checking and monitored the displayed phone we decided to take it. As a careful measures, we insisted on checking the phone before buying it thou the seller wasn't particularly fond off. Who cares right? Mum reassured him that we're buying so reluctantly he opened the box for us. The moment the phone was in my hands and I switched it on, I know I was conned! There's a fucking button that any finger can feel. Feeling cheated and angry, we're all shouting, "YOU CHEAT!". I think it was too loud and started to attract attention that the boss came to rescue. And so with the price given, the only phone selling is the lao beh China made one and not the Korean made one. The minimum price of the Korean made is THB 3500. Feeling bad, I think, the boss changed for us and gave us THB 3500 for the Korean made one. Since we're causing a mess, we took it but saying no to the boss offer for IPhone 5. Wouldn't want to get cheated for the second time, would we?

My faux phone

To cut the story short, mine faux Note 3 was as good as original thou it's a bit slow and the camera quality is bad. Nevertheless, everything else is fine. So why am I writing this? The one and only main reason is because more and more people are selling and buying faux smartphones whether it's from the internet or by the small stalls at the night market. I would just like to advise to those who plan to buy faux smartphones thru the Internet to be careful coz you might not get what you see. And I also don't think you will be any lucky than us to manage to catch the person cheating. All in all, just be careful while purchasing faux smartphones coz many things can go wrong.

While in Elephant country, we managed to go for a 15 minutes free of fish spa as our complimentary treatment. It was our first time. And like hell, the fishes are so big and ticklish when they fed on your feed. We laughed and giggled non-stop!
The benefits of fish spa!

I wouldn't pay for this if it's not free

Just moments from the fishes feasting on our dead skin

Both chubby girl here is terrified of the idea

Le Mami is sho cute here!
Haven't see her laugh like this for so long
Got to really that Baiyoke for this smile

=D

Le Mami is sho funny coz she kept counting fishes that feasted on her feets!

This is so not my feet.
I wouldn't dare to insert so much!

For the rest of the two days, we went to Baiyoke Gallery or known as B Gallery. It's a new building. The shape of the building is real interesting. It's like a shape of the BirdNest Stadium in Beijing!

In the wee hours of morning

Inside the building

I think the concept here is like walking up the slopes with shops all around you.

Everything is in a circle here. Even the toilet.

An egg-shaped sink

Don't say I'm lying when I tell you this. Baiyoke Gallery opens daily at 4.00 am to 7.00pm. I don't know how the heck they managed to find time for themselves aside from eating and sleeping. Madness! They're aren't many shop when we went there, probably because it's a weekend. So bought nothing there.

For the last two days, we went to

finding for varsity jacket for me and Tigress.
None found! Disappointed!

On our day back, we still shopped!! How kewl is that?! We woke up at 5 am to shop at the morning market. Oh, for our 7 days there, we never knew there's a morning market which opens from 4 am to 8 am. Blame it on Tigress and Mousy for waking up late every morning.

Bangkok in the early dawn

It's only 5 and already crowded with people

There Mousy is, showing of her varsity jacket with her initial on it
Beh tahan!

Our colorful hotel with 42 storey

Whilst waiting Mum to be done with her purchasing

So far the highest building in Bangkok with 88 storey,
Baiyoke Sky

It's either YOU PUSH or YOU BEING PUSHED!
There's no other way

No chance to sit on Tut tut this trip
=(

For the whole trip, I wouldn't want to know how much Mum spent in total. We bought the tickets earlier like a year ago so it's cheap, I guess. With AirAsia, everyone can fly!! Food was not hard to find. There's a street just before 53th restaurant or something that has all kinds of food. From Baiyoke Suite, the main entrance, turn left, walk straight until you reached a bag shop and turn left. Walked straight till you saw

this on your right side
That is my so called "FOOD STREET"!

They have

Grilled fish

Chap fan

More chap fan

Fried kueh teow, fried rice

Grilled pork and chicken stick at THB 20 each

Duck rice

And many more la includes local delicacies like desserts

This too vibrant color desserts are not fruits but more to desserts with pes inside

I heart you!!
Sipeh yummy.

I can't remember how much it is but definitely not more than THB 50

And this uncle here make the most delicious dim sum

Once eaten, wants more.

Me and Mami actually went down early at 9 am for 2 days to find him but whenever we found him, his dim sum were all sold!

The harder to get, the more determined we are

Still early, probably 7 so there's still lots of dim sum!

At the end of the day,

I enjoyed myself very much and I'm very sure Mum and the rest did too.
BYE BANGKOK!!
