Apple Cider Vinegar

I bet no one in this world would eat not yummy food. NEVER if it's not for health. How to eat  tasteless food? No salt, no sugar and most importantly NO OIL! HOW TO LIVE?! Ohh, fried food is the best. Fried chicken, fried prawns, calamari etc. The higher the calories, the better the food taste. Even when I'm on my diet, I can never go a day with eating only oats. I'll try to find at least something sweet for my taste bud. Even thou it's just a small amount of it. Too bad that all healthy food is not yummy and all yummy food is not healthy. You just gotta accept it. EAT IT OR YOU DIE!! Choose !!!

So here comes APPLE CIDER VNEGAR in the storyline. Nahh, apple and vinegar never go along together. My my, I can't believe how true is that when I first tasted the apple cider vinegar. It's smells like rotten fruit that is left in the fridge for years. The one word that comes to mind is, SMELLY!! Sipek smelly that I wanna pour the rest into the sink. But.. There's always a but here. Thinking back at all those benefits of apple cider vinegar, I drank it all down to my tummy. Can't believe I just drank the worst drink in my life!

Bought this at Guardian.

A little about our main character for today. Apple cider vinegar has been used by Hippocrates as a curative tonic in 400BC. In 2009, scientists had uncovered unexpected health benefits from this yucky fluid. Japanese researchers have observed that ACV's acetic acid switches on genes that are the key to manufacture of fatty acid oxidation enzymes. These enzymes act as catalyst to boost metabolism, block the body's storage of incoming dietary fats at the same time break down and dissolve existing body fat. It is undeniable that ACV as lots of benefits for the body.

For controlling weight and banishing obesity
~ Take the fat-flushing ACV three times daily. Mix two tbsp. of ACV with one to two tbsp. of raw honey in a glass of water

For skin
~ Use ACV on skin and face weekly. Suitable for both men and women. First, wash skin in warm water. Then, apply hot water-soaked cloth to the face for 3 minutes. Remove. Soak thin cotton cloth in warm ACV water (one tbsp. ACV per cup of water) and apply to face. Cover the ACV-soaked cloth with another cotton towel wrung out in hot water and lie for 10 minutes. Remove both cloth and gently rub skin upwards with coarse towel. Rubbing removes the old, dry skin scales that have been detached and loosen.

For shining hair and treating dandruff
~ Mix 75mL of ACV into 1 L of water. Apply the vinegar rinse after shampooing and then rinse it all out. For extra conditioning, let it be. Used it once or twice a week. If need, use as more often as needed. The rinsing actually close the numerous scales which cover and protect the surface of each hair shaft which result in smoother surface, leaving the hair shiner, smoother and easier to manage. It also helps balance the pH of the hair and erase the build-up that can result from the use of styling products and inexpensive shampoos.

Or as DETOX !!

More of ACV

And MORE!!

Apparently, ACV does not only benefits us humans only but also to pet as well. If the dog has itchy skin, the beginnings of a hot spot, incessantly washes its feet, has smelly ears or is picky about it's food, the application of ACV may change things around. Well, I always find Xiao Ai licks his feet from time to time. I always scolded him for that cox who would be so stupid to lick his/ her own smelly and dirty feet. Not only that, Xiao Ai's ears smell too no matter how we clean them. I thought it was normal since he has floppy ears but I'm so wrong. Smelly ears indicates lots of problems and should be monitored.

For poor appetite
~ Use it in the food. One tbsp., two times daily for a 50 lb. dog.

For itchy skin
~ Put ACV in a spray bottle. Part the hair and spray on. Any skin eruption will dry up in 24 hours. This will save from shaving the dog. If the skin is already broken, dilute ACV with an equal amount of water and spray on.

For diet
~ Taken internally, ACV can helps maintaining the acid/alkaline balance of teh digestive tract. To check on teh dog's pH balance, pick some pH strips at teh drug store and test the dog's urine first thing in the morning. If it reads anywhere from 6.2 - 6.5, teh dog's system is exactly where it should be. If it is 7.5 or higher, the diet taken is too alkaline and ACV will re-establish the correct balance.

For watery discharge
~ If the dog has clear, watery discharge from the eyes, a runny nose or coughs with a liquid sound, use ACV in his/her food. One tsp twice a day for a 50 lb. dog will do the job.

For overall heath
~ After weekly grooming, use a few drops in his/her ears after cleaning to avoid ear infections. Other uses of ACV are the prevention of muscle weakness, cramps, feeling the cold, calluses on elbows and hock joints, constipation, bruising too easily, pimples on skin surfaces, twitching of facial muscles, sore joints, arthritis and pus in the urine. It is also said that ACV is good in prevention of bladder and kidney stones.

For fur which is fleas free
~ Fleas, flies, ticks and bacteria, external parasites, ring worm, fungus, staphylococcus, streptococcus, pneumococcus, mange, etc., are unlikely to inhabit a dog whose system is acidic inside and out. Bathe dog with a nice gentle herbal shampoo, rinse thoroughly, and then sponge on ACV diluted with equal amounts of warm water. Allow dog to drip dry. It is not necessary to use harsh chemicals for minor flea infestations. All fleas drown in soapy water and the ACV rinse makes the skin too acidic for a re-infestation. If you are worried about picking up fleas when you take your dog away from home, keep some ACV in a spray bottle, and spray your dog before you leave home, and when you get back. Take some with you and keep it in the car, just in case you need it any time. Obviously for major infestations, more drastic measures are necessary. ACV normalizes the pH levels of the skin, makes your dog unpalatable to even the nastiest of bacteria and if you have a dog that smells like a salad, it’s a small price to pay!

Yeah. Not only that ACV is good for dogs but it works superb with rabbits too!
