Krabi Day 1 : Krabi, here we come

(1/6/15) How can I describe such a beautiful place with justice? Located on the west coast of southern Thailand, Krabi is the home to some of the most extraordinary natural wonders of the world. It is a province with 160 kilometers of coastline along the Andaman sea and has idyllic islands and caves, powdery-white beaches, stunning coral reefs, amazing limestone formations, lush jungle and mangroves that are all within easy reach.

Krabi has given us all such a marvelous holiday vacation that I believe every of us will cherish for years to come. Unlike Phuket, Krabi is more laid back. We enjoyed the slow and relax pace of life there. Just like Australia, we booked a villa that fits all 15 of us in. It is a luxurious 1980 sqft private villa, complete with 5 bedrooms, a swimming pool, BBQ pits, outdoor dining, verandah and 5 staff catering to our every whim for the next 9 days.

We landed at Krabi Airport at 1.30pm local time. The journey from the airport to the villa took us approximately 25 minutes. Villa Pimmada is located about 400 meters away from Ao Nang Beach which is really kewl. Most of the villa we viewed is surrounded with mountains and greenery everywhere with the nearest house about half a kilometer away.

I am already being captured by the villa's spell

The villa comes with 2 halls which perfectly fit us all

The dry and wet kitchen area

Spacious and luxurious bedrooms made us feel so pampered

Second out of the five bedrooms
The best part of the villa is that all rooms are fully AIR-CONDITIONED!

5 star luxury style comfort with soap and shampoo provided

This 10m x 5m pool comes with the villa

Our gardener cleans the pool every morning

BBQ and outdoor dining

Verandah built for relaxation

With Saw (read as Sau), our beautiful villa manager

Our villa also comes with a Tuk Tuk and a driver who works till 11pm everyday.
We get to enjoy nice dinners at different restaurant every night, all thanks to him.

Had our first dinner in Krabi at the Anning Restaurant

The live band here is so good that the tourist can't help but to join in to dance

We booked all our tours from this tour agent

This street is alive with tourist and music at night

After dinner, we had the Tuk Tuk to bring us to Tesco Lotus where we bought all our food for tomorrow's breakfast. Of course, the must buy items are the shrimp dumplings and lots of microwave food. All are good!! This ends our day 1 in Krabi.
