HAPPINESS

Phone beeping. Checked message. Smiling alone like an idiot. *grin Mum eyed me with her 'Huh? Weird?" expression. Hahaha. Happiness comes in many kinds. Some people  make people happy to gain happiness while others are happy for the simplest thing in life. Well, for those who can't be happy then it's a sad case. You can just see others happy. Me? Happiness comes from being with family. Being around Mum. Able to see Xiao Ai once I woke up and before I sleep. Happiness is being with the ones that love and cares for you. These few days, Great Tiger is so good temper that he message and whatapps me every night to remind me of my exercise routine.

Sipek cute >.<
Got myself a personal fitness coach
=D

Let me tell you something. Great Tiger never show concern in front of your eyes. Like never. He's always being feared off. And this really surprise me. I was like, "He must be sending wrongly to me". Frankly, I was reluctant at first. Thru my diet period, not once I step on the treadmill. For me, I think that if I ran on the treadmill, it would drain my energy more. And since I only survive on oats, water and few dim sum a day, I barely have any energy left. If I exercise, I would feel hungry and eat more than what I should eat.

After kena berus and scrub the nights before, I feel really paiseh and bad if I don't step up on the treadmill. And yeah if he's gonna challenge me, he shall know that I don't go down without a fight. Thou reluctant at first, glad I made it to the end. How many out there that can have free fitness coach that is so dedicated? Wah! Feeling so lucky

Studing part pulok

I've been home for the last 6 months. Everyone from Grandma to aunties, uncles, neighbors, my friend's parents including the Ah Sam at the market are asking when am I going again, REPEATEDLY. Like every time I saw them, the sentence that comes out of their mouth is, "When are you going to go study again?".I find very annoying cox all they do is busybody-ing about your life. As if they really care where you're gonna study or what course you're gonna take. Normally, I ignored all these kee po chi. Is either I changed the topic or I walked away. JUST STOP ASKING, will you?

And Great Tiger finally asked the same old question. I thought he was gonna scold me for failing my subject or what. The moment when I read the part where he asked why I failed, I was on the edge of crying. This man actually cares for me. He asked why I failed and encourage me to work harder. Did any of those kee po chi said this to me before? Nope. Not once. And mum didn't even give me any encouragement words thou I know she showed it from her action. But still. It's not the same. Feeling happy and blessed to have someone who really cares. When people really cares for you, the heart can feel it. That where the purest of the purest happiness comes from.

Being just HAPPY is a great feeling

XOXO~

Terengganu - Turtle Alley

27 November 2013

Chinatown aka Kampung Cina!!

A map to get around

Terengganu, situated in the north-eastern of Peninsular Malaysia is my hometown! One may never heard of Terengganu before but perhaps one may heard of the famous Redang Island. Yup. This state is where the Redang Island is. Redang Island or locally known as Pulau Redang is so famous coz many famous movies was filmed there due to it's pearly-white sandy beaches, sparkling clear seawater, lovely sunrises and spectacular marine life. Confessing honestly as a Tganu-ian, I've never step my feet at Redang Island YET. I'm forbid to step my feet at any island as for now. It's sad to see that some uneducated Malaysia, wearing a degree mask but still haven't heard of Terengganu. I wonder how they pass their PMR and SPM when they don't even know that Terengganu is one of state in Malaysia. Sadd.. Well, not to blame them, even when filling up form, sometimes people can be as stupid as this

I've checked countless time yet there no "Terengganu" in sight
Wonder where Terengganu lost

So Aunt Jaz visited and chubby girl here decided to bring her on a tour in town. LOL. The first stop is the Turtle Alley. Terengganu has always been famous with for being one of the six hatching sites in the WORLD for giant leatherback turtles. Rantau Abang is the perfect place to catch a sight of turtles laying eggs. Me? Watch turtle laying eggs? Are you joking? Of course! I've been there when I was 11 or 12. Usually, it was during the middle of the year when turtles come up to the shore to lay eggs. I can barely remember but we, Dad, Mum, Uncle, Aunt, Popo, me, Mousy and Tigress drove up to Rantau Abang that night to just catch a glimpse of the wonderful moments. The journey took us about an hour from town. It was around 2 o'clock in the morning that day and we're getting bored of waiting when Dad decided it's time to go home.

Suddenly, there's a young boy shouted, "Ada penyu". (There's turtle). Quickly we rushed there. While walking down the beach, the first sight that caught my attention is the mother turtle digging her holes where everyone was waiting there patiently with torchlights in their hands. Perhaps, it's a little inhumane to do that. Can't people just leave the turtle in peace?? Seeing how the mother turtle dropping her eggs into the holes one by one is amazing. And more, seeing the turtle's tears really got me. How to not pity for the mother turtle at the point when you know the people there is gonna collect her eggs to sell and to be eaten? After releasing all her eggs, efficiently she buried the hole and went back to the wide ocean. The sad thing is that youngsters there decided to sit on her back while she made her way back home.

Priceless~

Truth often hurts. Sad to say, turtle eggs are sell in local markets with only RM10 a packet. Mum used to eat turtle egg too once in a blue moon when I was 12 but since I condemn her a killer few years back, she stopped eating. No turtle eggs at home! Doesn't it feel gross to eat such a thing? I've never want to taste turtle eggs no matter how nice they describe it. NEVER! EVER!

Hands of a killer!
Credit to Google

How to eat knowing such a adorable creature comes from there

Turtle Alley is situated at a narrow lane in Chinatown that has been beautified and decorated with numerous art works about turtle to remind us of the endangered marine species that nest at the beaches of Terengganu.

Turtle Alley !

It was drizzling so hence it explains the wet pavement

The entrance of the alley

A wonderful story of Maya and her ocean discoveries

The job assign is to spot the hidden turtle in every pic!

Like this one for example
The hidden turtle is in the forest there

The funniest part here is when we're busy taking the photographs, there's a kind uncle that actually told us that we should find the hidden turtle in the picture. LOL. We don't actually bother to read the story at first and he was so determined to help us find that hidden turtle. Like in almost every pic before walked off. Thanks Uncle but no thank you.

It's great to see that the story is translated in 3 languages. ^_^

And there goes the story with colorful vibrant colors

Please say "NO" to turtle eggs !!

And yeah, Mousy was with us too that day.
Had finished her SPM the day before

Safe it before it's too late

Well, the alley is also used by locals daily
Except me

And also on the wall, there's lots of information about turtles

What caught my attention is the turtle mosaic!

There's even turtle on the floor!

No doubt that it is indeed really precious

Treasure them like how you treasure gold!

Si Tembam with Maya
Wanting to have a ride on the turtle too just like Maya did
But think how heavy I am, let's forget about it

Red means LOVE
Love is me
Cuteness overload!!

At least this turtle can stand my heavy weight..
TROLL

After 30 minutes in the Turtle Alley, we went to The Cellar for a drink. And we actually sat there till 12 noon. Cut the trip short and we went for lunch after that. It's raining so no point of continuing.

I HEART TURTLE!!

Do drop by Turtle Alley when visiting Terengganu

Hence this mark the end of our adventure in Turtle Alley.
Will discover more places in times to come.

Laughing My Heads Off

I was writing the previous entry (last night) while actually doing other stuff like stalking and watching YouTube videos cox I just don't have the mood to rewrite everything again. That's when I remember Tigress saying how her photos when all to public view when she had a blog last time. (She shut it down when she found out her photos when all public. She's not aware of that and she had the blog cox the school teacher was teaching them on some bloggie stuff. ) So, I went to Google and typed out "Karen Chiok" before clicking the button search. That's when my prom photos came to view. LOL! It was so embarrassing. Can't believe that my friend would posting those ugly photos of mine up. LOOOLLL. So gonna kill her after this. It was my prom as a senior. The theme of the night was masquerade which explains why all of us were in masks. Gahh. So embarrassing. I look like a bloody fat cow dressed in red. =.= It was also the last prom for Interact Club before it was shut down by the stupid pig head principle claiming that it's a nonsense club and all. Almost the entire population of teachers in school hate our club. It's a sad thing. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my days being with Interact Club.

Lets ignore the juniors and only focused on the seniors.
I just can't find any pictures of only us the seniors
Starting from the left pink is Chua, Audrie, Fang Xian, Darunee, Lynn, Fat Cow, Alicia
LOL Wei Qi jie is missing here!

Girls power!
With fellow Rotarians photo-bombing
=.=

Me & Tigress

This is the only prom that I actually bought my dress. The previous two proms, I just lend Mum's dress. Well, since she's smaller a little than me, I guess I just fit her dress. Since it's my last year, I actually asked help from Mk Ee, Ck Pa's wifey. So we went dress hunting when I spotted this dress and literally fell in love! It is a nice dress but maybe it jus don't suit me well. I'm just too stubborn to hear! Most of the accessories were from Mum's and Mk Ee's. Me, Darunee and Chua went to saloon to get the hair done. I just have to admit that the gold color on the hair just made me old!! Gold is so NO NO! Make ups were done by Mk Ee. Thanks a lot! ^_^

Bestie, Dylan & Tigress

Such an ugly shot
It look as if my eyes is one big and one small
=.=

Unbalanced eyes again. *sigh

Right: Audrie

The three of us!

Last but not least,
the Fat Cow with the Prom King of the night

I would say that I'm not a fan of fancy dinners and stuff. I hate make ups. Till now, almost into 19, I never wear make ups for daily basis. I don't like the idea of painting my face. Well, I don't actually apply anything to my face either. I'm just too lazy to do that. Hihihi.. I started going for fancy dinners/proms the very same year I joined Interact Club which was the year 2009. It is compulsory for all Interactors.

Our first Interact Dinner with very few number of Interactors coz it's a new club in school. And they all stay faithful till the end! It was held in Ibai Golf Resort. A very meaningful event for all of us.

All looked kuai zai
Spot me??
>.<

With fellow Rotarians and Interactors
Not forgetting our beloved teacher advisor, Teacher Wan

The following next year. Same venue but with more members!

From left: Lynn, Fat Cow, Farah, Don't know who, Darunee,
Alicia, Ang, Wei Qi, Ong, Dylan, Ng and Koh

Apart form the Malays, we are mostly friends since childhood except for Lynn who joined the group later. LOL! No difference anyway. I still love her! *muaks

More group photos with Chua and Audrie in it!

Bestie!!
Miss him right now.
We fought over silly things and haven't been talking for almost 6 months already
=(
Ego is eating me alive now!!

This is the one where we (me and my friends) were the committees for the event. I dare say that it's a hard job to make an event so successful. It takes many hard works and cooperation. It's not actually prom in our definition. We called this kind of night as Interact Installation Night where the previous Board Of Directors stepped down and officially handed in their post to the new BOD. This is the night where you know your hard works being rewarded or people with no work claiming that they're doing work. LOL! Nevermind. I'm just mumbling over some stupid issues that idiotic people messed about years ago!

Our childhood photos?
Here is it!

I guess we don't really change much. So one can still recognize who and who.
The photos taken were after UPSR where there's no more classes
and we basically went to school to play!!
#WhatPubertyDidToUs

Childhood is the best where everything is as simple as ABC

XOXO~

Seeing me so old in the photos makes me bo kang guan and
so today I took out the red roses dress again and cam-whore with it

Nahhh
LOOK!!

I doesn't look that old, did I?

And that I better off without makeups, right?

Puffer fish!!

^_^
